The MLB All-Star break is over, and the festivities have passed. Actual MLB games graced our televisions yesterday, and wasn’t it just delightful? On the second day back from the break, we get another full day of Major League Baseball action, and after crunching the numbers and sifting through the data, a couple of left-handed bats caught my eye when perusing through MLB player props over at Underdog Fantasy. My best bets of the day on Underdog Fantasy feature San Francisco Giants catcher and outfielder, Blake Sabol, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Atlanta Braves outfielder, Michael Harris, taking on the Chicago White Sox. Don't forget to check out the latest MLB weather report and the confirmed MLB lineups when placing those MLB betting picks, and our MLB daily projections and MLB Batter vs Pitcher page will help uncover the best matchups for MLB player props and your MLB DFS lineups. Let's dive into the top MLB player picks on Underdog Fantasy for Saturday, July 15th.

Blake Sabol, San Francisco Giants OVER 0.5 Singles

Sabol may not be able to hit lefties to save his life, but I love his .284 average, .357 BABIP, and .359 wOBA against right-handers! Sabol’s name finds the lineup cards when the Giants face a righty, and with Johan Oviedo on the bump, Sabol should hit sixth or seventh (depending on Michael Conforto’s status) in this one. Over his last seven games, Sabol is hitting .364, and he gets to face Oviedo, who has served up an 86.6 percent zone contact rate, and 76.7 percent contact rate overall. Since June 1, Oviedo has served up a .474 SLG and .341 wOBA to left-handed hitters. If it weren’t for some weather concerns, I’d be all in on Oviedo allowing more than 5.5 hits in this one, but there is some rain in the Pittsburgh area. Ultimately, I love the lefty bats against Oviedo tonight, with Sabol being my preferred target on Underdog. If we see that the rain starts to clear in the Pittsburgh area, you could target Oviedo over 5.5 hits allowed on another slip, too.

Michael Harris, Atlanta Braves OVER 0.5 Singles

After a very, very rough start to the season, Harris has turned things around. Since June 1, Harris is slashing .339/.362/.581 with a 40 percent hard hit rate and .399 wOBA. Sticking with that same time period, he’s hitting .333 against right-handed pitching with a 46.5 percent hard hit rate! The young outfielder is hitting .304 in his home park this year, and Chicago’s Lance Lynn will take the bump for the White Sox. Lynn’s struggles on the road this year are well-documented, as he has allowed a 5.97 ERA, .493 SLG, and 2.04 HR/9. Lynn hasn’t been able to get left-handers out this year, as he’s allowed a .335 batting average and .386 BABIP to lefties! Harris had two hits, including one single, in the first game after the break, and he looks poised for a big second half, and it should continue here in another good matchup for the left-handed hitting outfielder.
