We only have four games on today’s Major League Baseball slate, but with potential rain for one of the games, and one with a dearth of value from a player prop perspective, I really honed in on one or two games in particular. Both of my favorite MLB player props come from the Baltimore and Boston showdown, and we look to Ryan Mountcastle from Baltimore, and Alex Verdugo from Boston. In case you do want some action in the other games, I provided two other player props that I like, but they are more “leans” compared to my favorite picks of the day. Keep an eye on the weather leading up to lineup lock, and if you haven’t done so already, bookmark our weather center for easy access! Here are my favorite MLB player props and picks of the day over at Underdog Fantasy for Monday, September 26.

Underdog Fantasy MLB Player Pick'Ems September 26

Ryan Mountcastle OVER 1.5 Total Bases

The winds are expected to be blowing out tonight in Boston, and with Connor Seabold allowing a 3.18 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season, fire up the over for Mountcastle tonight! Over his last seven games, Mountcastle is slashing .400/.448/.440 and he has three multi-hit efforts in his last four games. Seabold has allowed a .400 average and .673 SLG to right-handed hitters this season, and Mountcastle has a .432 SLG and .183 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. At the end of the day, Seabold has a flyball rate north of 45 percent this season, and with the winds blowing out, his struggles against right-handers are only going to be more pronounced, especially with Mountcastle and his 41.4 percent fly ball rate this season.

Alex Verdugo OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Baltimore won’t be the only ones to benefit from the projected wind in tonight’s contest. Jordan Lyles has been great at home this year, but tonight’s game isn’t at home, so we can target Lyles. The Baltimore right-hander has a 5.48 ERA and .504 SLG against on the road this season, and on the road this season, lefties are slashing .303/.378/.612 against Lyles. Verduo has a .285 average and .746 OPS against right-handers this season, and in 19 games this month, Verdugo has hit safely in 13 of them, with at least two total bases in eight of them. Here in September, Verdugo is hitting .282 with a .436 SLG and .788 OPS.
