Yes, today’s Underdog article is out much earlier than normal, but why is that? Well, when you look at the board of MLB player props at Underdog Fantasy and the two that jump out at you immediately are both in the early afternoon, you pounce before the lines move! Luis Arraez finds himself in his home park against a right-hander, and when looking at his batting splits, this means good things for the Minnesota Twins and people that bet the over on his props. Then, we head to Atlanta, where Kyle Wright has pitched like an ace all year and especially so in his home stadium. The Braves' righty gets a good matchup against a San Francisco team that has been quite strikeout-prone lately. Both Arraez and Wright should be popular MLB DFS top plays as well today. Be sure to check out the latest MLB weather report and MLB lineups as they come in before locking in these props. Also, use the MLB daily projections and MLB Vegas odds to help set daily fantasy baseball lineups and pick other Underdog top plays. Keep an eye out in our Discord channel, as I may drop a couple of players for the later games tonight, of course, that is if anything catches my eye. As always, pay attention to the latest fantasy baseball news before setting MLB DFS lineups or making MLB prop picks today. Now, here are my favorite MLB player props over on Underdog Fantasy for Thursday, June 23.

MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 22

Luis ArraezOVER 1.5 Total Bases

I mentioned this pick in today’s fantasy baseball daily round-up, and it is just too good to pass up! Arraez has surpassed this mark in four of his last five games, and he’s been one of the most consistent hitters in Major League Baseball all year, particularly against right-handers. Arraez has posted a .399 average and .988 OPS against right-handed pitching this season, and in his home park this year, he’s hitting a cool .376 with a .944 OPS. Now, when looking at his counterpart, where have things not gone right for Zach Plesac in 2022? Well, the answer is against left-handed hitters and road starts. Lefties are hitting .299 with a .372 wOBA against him this year, and away from the confines of his home park, he’s posted a 5.57 ERA in six starts.

Kyle WrightOVER 6.0 Strikeouts

Kyle Wright has been excellent this year, but he’s been damn good at home, posting a 2.84 ERA, 10.13 K/9, and 28.8 percent strikeout rate in eight home starts this year. He’s coming off a bad outing against the Cubs, but he still struck out eight batters in that contest. Wright has at least seven strikeouts in each of his last three starts, and in his eight home starts this year, he has at least seven strikeouts in six of those eight. Wright has gone at least six innings in all but one start at home this year, and if he is in fact able to work deep into the game, the over here looks even better. The Giants have the third-highest strikeout rate in baseball over the last two weeks and the 10th-highest strikeout rate on the road in 2022.
