MLB Player Props Underdog Fantasy June 22

 

 

George Kirby – OVER 5.0 strikeouts

The industry is all in on George Kirby tonight as he’s going to be one of the most popular pitchers in MLB DFS lineups. The Seattle Mariners pitcher's strikeout prop will likely be popular as well. Kirby has been up and down this season in terms of strikeouts, he's hit the over on this 5.0 strikeout prop in three of his last five games. One of those starts also happened to come against the A's – tonight's opponent.

Oakland’s offense on the year has the eighth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching at 23.6%. I mentioned earlier that they’ve already had a game this year in which Kirby has struck them out seven times. Kirby and his 10.5% swinging strike rate should generate a ton of misses here against the Athletics.

 

 

 

Ryan Mountcastle – OVER 1.5 total bases

It’s hard to just pick ONE Orioles player here because it’s Patrick Corbin day, but Ryan Mountcastle really stands out! Patrick Corbin day is a national holiday we celebrate every fifth day and one that we absolutely love as DFS players. On the year, right-handed batters are hitting .301 with an .830 OPS and .361 wOBA against the Washington Nationals' starter.

On the flip side, Mountcastle himself has raked against southpaws. He’s hitting .288 with a .333 wOBA on the year against left-handed hurlers. This is no different from 2021, when he notched an .842 OPS and .349 wOBA against LHP. Mountcastle is going to do damage here.
