We have a Saturday full of major league baseball and that means Underdog Fantasy props! The All-Star break starts on Monday so this is a good time to get some action in before the four day layoff. We now have half a season of Major league Baseball data to dig through so let’s check out the MLB props board at Underdog Fantasy.

First, we are looking at future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander in an elite matchup against Oakland and ten the red-hot bats of Austin Riley and Teoscar Hernández. Check our MLB Weather Center to make sure that all games will be dry and there are no surprising pop-up storms during roster lock. To get all the confirmed starting lineups make sure to go to the MLB Lineups page. We also have an MLB DFS Lineup Generator and MLB Player Projections to make all of your fantasy baseball lineups plus an MLB Tools page that features batter vs. pitcher and advanced metrics. Now let’s take a look at my four favorite props on Underdog Fantasy for Saturday’s baseball action.

OVER 99.5 Pitch Count/6.5 Ks

Justin Verlander is in a smash spot today. He is in the middle of a bounce-back year after losing two seasons to injury. He is pitching as well as he has at any point in his Hall of Fame career and is a massive favorite today with a seven-plus strikeout potential against Oakland.

JV is a -361 favorite and the A’s carry in a 2.6 implied run total to today’s game. They are ranked 24th in all of baseball with a 23.8% K rate against right-handed pitching as well as 28th in ISO (.119); 29th in wRC+ (71) and dead last in MLB with a .253wOBA. Verlander has gone over 100 pitches in three straight starts and four out of his last five. With a 2.00 ERA/0.87 WHIP, Verlander is a can’t miss pitcher today.

OVER 7.5 Fantasy Points

Teoscar Hernández continued his hot streak last night. He hit a leadoff double in the second inning and in the next frame smoked an 87-mph cutter off Zack Greinke well over the center field wall for his 12th bomb of the season. Hernandez is now on an eight-game hit streak slashing .407/.448/.852 during the span with six extra-base hits and 12 RBIs.

Hernandez has elite splits against left-handed pitching. Over the last two seasons he has a team best .355 ISO/.451wOBA with a 42.5% flyball and 46.5% hard hit rate. Today, he faces Daniel Lynch in a total smash spot as Lynch has major issues with right-handed bats. He has a 5.53XFIP on the season and doesn’t miss many bats with a sub-20% K rate. Lynch allows a .350wOBA with a flyball rate at 42% and hard contact nearly 50%. It all adds up to a big day for Hernandez this afternoon.

OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Austin Riley is another bat on fire. He currently holds the longest active hit streak at 11 games and during that span is slashing .413/.438/.870. He was snubbed from the All-Star team and has taken it out on the baseball with five home runs in his last seven games. In July he is raking with and only sits two bombs behind Kyle Schwarber for the National League home run lead while leading everyone with 201 total bases. Today’s matchup is against right-handed Pedro Espino and the Nationals. Riley has been a near-elite reverse splits hitter over the past two seasons with a .250 ISO/.378wOBA and 44.6% hard contact rate. Lock Austin Riley in today.
