Gray has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball this season so it comes as bit of a shock to me that his outs projection for today is set at just 17.5. This means all he has to do is go six full innings for him to finish with more than the required 17.5 outs. This is something that Gray has achieved in each of his last four starts. Today's opponent in the Milwaukee Brewers do rank third in wOBA against right-handed pitching but Gray also has a 34% strikeout rate against left-handed hitters and the Brewers figure to have at least six of their nine from the left-side of the plate here today.

 

Keaton Winn, San Francisco Giants

  • More than 15.5 Outs

Coors Field continues to get treated like a hitters haven but the Rockies offense has been outright dreadful regardless of where they are playing baseball this season. Yes, Winn is coming off a very bad outing where the Phillies touched him up for five runs over 0.2 innings but prior to that he had pitched at least 5.1 innings in four of his six starts this season. That's the mark we need today for him to go over his outs projection!
