Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers & Streaming Starters - 6/13
Heading into Week 13, the first half of the baseball season is wrapping up, yet to our great fortune, there are still a wealth of Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers to select from when setting your fantasy baseball lineups. Still plenty of arms to avoid as well, as evidenced by the number of SPs dwelling in the bottom tier of dual start options on the schedule. Not so many in the middle group, as has been the trend this season.
There are a number of options to consider if you need a SP (or three) to stream as the first half of the season winds up this scoring period. These hurlers all offer better potential numbers than any that are relegated to the bottom tier in the first half of this report, even without two-start status. If you need two starts, just pick up a couple of the Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Starters profiled in this article’s second portion.
Please realize that these articles feature the most recent rotation information available at the time they are written, but circumstances can change due to weather conditions, injuries, and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies, but this article is meant to provide analysis; it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.
Without further ado, here are this week’s two start pitchers:

Valdez has been fluctuating between being a useful fantasy asset and one his owners are ruing having inserted into their rotations, start to start over his last six outings. If that trend continues, then he would be a SP to plug into your starting lineup when he heads to Houston, but not a trustworthy hurler when he takes the mound at Comerica Park to face division foe Chicago. He offers below-average strikeout production with a 7.07 K/9 rate over his 77.2 IP to date, and presents just so-so ratios: 4.40 ERA, 1.34 WHIP. It is only the potential for a good outing that elevates him to the middle tier this week.
Nelson had racked up five quality starts (QS) over his most recent six starts before getting lit up by the host Marlins this past Wednesday to the tune of seven earned runs over just 4.0 IP. Admittedly, a 5.19 ERA is scary in a SP that you might consider using for two starts in a particular week, but he does possess an attractive WHIP sitting at 1.22 currently, even after the Miami beatdown. Setting aside his debacle against the Marlins, he had been dealing from the hill since early May. Looking at his home/road splits on the season would lead to the impression that two home games bode ill for the fifth-year right-hander but four of those recent QS came at Chase Field, so this set of games is not necessarily a pair of outings to avoid his use, although this last loss is not a reassuring development.
Holmes had a short stint on the mound in his last start, leaving after 3.2 IP, allowing three earned runs to the host White Sox and taking a no-decision in the contest. Before that, however, he had been quietly effective on the bump, allowing three earned runs or less in 11 of the prior 12 starts he made in 2026 (the Rockies tagged him for five tallies in a start at Coors Field to open the month of May). Although his command needs work (he is carrying a 3.9 BB/9 through his 66.2 IP this season thus far), he is providing decent K numbers with his 8.0 K/9 rate. He has two home starts on the schedule in Week 13, although the second outing against the visiting Brewers looks to be the more challenging of the two trips to the mound he is scheduled to make this scoring period.

Although you may be tempted to use one or more of these dozen hurlers, perhaps tempted by their dual start status or your memory of prior success with them in your lineup. The better course of action, however, is to let them sit on your bench or on the wire, and wait for their production to return to prior levels or simply improve enough to warrant using them in to bolster your pitching stats. At present, it is recommended that you seek your short-term pitching help from the arms detailed below in the Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Starters discussion comprising the second portion of this week’s report.
Potential Streaming Options for Week 13
There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters candidates:
Monday, June 15, 2026
Eric Lauer, Los Angeles Dodgers vs Tampa Bay Rays
The veteran southpaw has been extraordinarily effective while toeing the rubber since landing in LA, tossing one QS and coming within an out of garnering a second such start against the host Pirates. He has a stellar 2.76 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in his 16.1 IP as a member of the Dodger starting rotation. He has been stingy with the free passes, too, as evidenced by a 1.1 BB/9, although his strikeout production is well below league average at 5.5 K/9. Then again, you cannot have everything, but he does offer many virtues for his fantasy managers.
Tuesday, June 16, 2026
Christian Scott, New York Mets @ Cincinnati Reds
Prior to his recent start at Citi Field against the visiting Cardinal team where he was touched for three dingers, he had been remarkably effective at keeping the ball in the yard, having allowed just one prior round-tripper over 36.0 IP. He offers an attractive 3.10 ERA overall this season (40.2 IP) with a strong 10.2 K/9 rate. His lack of command evidenced by a bloated 4.2 BB/9 rate on the year is a sticking point, resulting in an inflated 1.35 WHIP on the season. Overall, he has been much more effective while toeing the rubber in opponents’ parks, although the prospect of pitching at The Great American Ballpark after his recent assault by the Cardinal hitters does give pause about streaming him in this start. The body of work aside from that recent bad outing, however, speaks to his utility here.
Keider Montero, Detroit Tigers @ Houston Astros
The third-year right-hander has held opponents scoreless in two of his last three outings, collecting two QS as a direct result as well. He now sports a useful 3.61 ERA and an impressive 1.01 WHIP due to his propensity to limit free passes while dealing from the hill. Taking on the Astros in their home park plays into his road warrior performance this season.
Brady Singer, Cincinnati Reds vs New York Mets
The 29-year-old righty picked up his first QS since he had consecutive quality starts in mid-April. He has looked sharper over his recent time on the bump, throwing strikes and posting a 3.60 ERA over his last 15.0 IP. He has also been tagged with five losses against one victory through his last eight starts, yet his next appearance is at home where he has been significantly more successful this season.
Andre Pallante, St. Louis Cardinals vs San Diego Padres
In all but one of his 13 starts, the 27-year-old right-hander has managed to last on the hill a minimum of five innings. He collected his most recent QS, his fourth on the season, at Citi Field where he was credited with his seventh victory after holding the Mets to two earned runs on three hits and a pair of walks. He is a below-average K producer (7.2 K/9 over his 69.2 IP in 2026 to date) but generates a ton of ground balls as witnessed by his 51.7 GB percentage.
Kumar Rocker, Texas Rangers vs Minnesota Twins
The Texas third-year SP totes a useful 3.56 ERA into his next start, and this trip to the hill will be in his home park, where his success has been magnified this season dramatically, continuing a career tend he has demonstrated. He is still handing out too many walks but does keep the ball in the park effectively. The opponent here also struggles on the road, so a nice convergence of home/road results is in the cards here in this matchup.
Tyler Phillips, Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies
The third-year right-hander picked up his first victory of the season, shutting out the visiting Arizona team over 5.0 IP while collecting five Ks. He had been in a piggy-back situation in his prior appearance, but now appears to be claiming a rotation spot going forward. His control needs tending, as he currently sports an inflated 4.6 BB/9 rate, although he has not been touched for many dingers (just two on the season).
Wednesday, June 17, 2026
Jack Flaherty, Detroit Tigers @ Houston Astros
The veteran righty picked up his first win of the season two starts ago, after suffering through a series of losses and no decisions in his previous 12 times toeing the rubber in 2026, going 0-7. He has been racking up a steady number of Ks over his recent times on the hill, collecting a total of 29Ks over his last 19.0 IP. He has been marginally better pitching away from Comerica Park this season, so a trip to Houston to take on the Astros is not a reason to avoid using this SP for a streaming start, and the Ks are certainly an inducement in and of themselves.
Zack Littell, Washington Nationals vs Kansas City Royals
The veteran right-hander collected his fifth consecutive win by beating the host Diamondbacks, and his sixth victory in seven starts. His recent mound efforts have pushed his inflated ERA to below 5.00 (4.76 actually) and his WHIP is nearing a more acceptable level as well, currently at 1.31. During the course of his current win streak, he has posted an attractive set of ratios: 2.27 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over those 35.2 IP. His opponent’s road record gives hope for this start, despite the Nationals’ struggles to achieve victory at Nationals Park.
Griffin Canning, San Diego Padres @ St. Louis Cardinals
The veteran SP has been working diligently to bring his ERA down to a respectable level, although it still sits at an unattractive 6.34 and is accompanied by an inflated 1.47 WHIP. He has put up a 19:8 K/BB ratio over his last four times on the bump (21.2 IP). We can discount his home/road splits due to a small sample size of away innings pitched, although the opponent in this contest is playing well at home (and on the road, too, for that matter).
Thursday, June 18, 2026
Matthew Liberatore, St. Louis Cardinals @ Kansas City Royals
The main positive point in nominating the Cardinal southpaw is his ability to collect Ks in his starts. Since the beginning of May, his K rate has been locked in at a superior 10.5 K/9 through 36.0 IP. The rest of his fantasy stat lines are less than inspiring: 4.48 ERA, 1.51 WHIP on the season. He has been less generous in allowing hitters to deposit his pitches over the fence, to be fair. The Royals are certainly not a daunting opponent, even in their home park.
Friday, June 19, 2026
Sean Burke, Chicago White Sox @ Detroit Tigers
Despite his team playing well under .500 on the road, the 26-year-old right-hander has had a fair share of road success this season. The bad news is that his control seems to be absent when away from Rate Field, but on a positive note, he misses many more bats when pitching away from Chicago.
Trevor McDonald, San Francisco Giants @ Miami Marlins
Only once in his seven starts has the youngster failed to last a minimum of five innings. Over his last three times climbing the hill he has posted a useful 3.31 ERA, although his lack of control has resulted in an inflated 1.41 WHIP over the course of those 16.1 IP. He is striking out nearly a batter per frame during that stretch, which is a useful fantasy benefit. His road results in terms of allowing the opposition to cross the plate are admirable, albeit his control, command and dominance are less evident when toeing the rubber away from his home park. Thus, this matchup has its pluses and minuses in terms of potential fantasy benefits.
Saturday, June 20, 2026
Walker Buehler, San Diego Padres @ Texas Rangers
The veteran hurler has been posting efficient results while on the hill over his last six outings, with a 3.09 ERA and 1.19 WHIP to his credit over his last 32.0 IP. A 6.8 K/9 rate is below league average, but he has been careful with the free passes handed out, as evidenced by a 2.8 BB/9, an improvement on his season rate of 3.2 BB/9. His road efforts have been improved over recent history, too, so a game in Arlington is not a reason to avoid using him at the end of Week 13.
