Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers & Streaming Starters - 5/2
Another week and another scoring period with multiple Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers occupying the top tier of dual start options to plug into your rosters, presuming you are fortunate enough to have one or more of the upper group of SPs at your disposal. Not many dwell in the middle tier, continuing a trend over the past weeks. Plenty of arms you should likely avoid using, despite, or perhaps because, they are lined up to climb the hill twice in Week 7, down in the bottom tier.
There are quite a few hurlers to consider for streaming purposes, thankfully. You would be better suited to employ these SP when seeking out some pitching help. These Week 7 Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Pitchers have greater potential to add counting stats to your team’s statistical results without causing too much ratio stat damage, for the most part.
Please realize that these articles feature the most recent rotation information available at the time they are written, but circumstances can change due to weather conditions, injuries, and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies, but this article is meant to provide analysis; it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.
Without further ado, here are this week’s two start pitchers:

Cavalli racked up an impressive 10 Ks for his second consecutive appearance on the mound and is carrying a useful 3.82 ERA as he heads into Week 7’s action. His WHIP is an ugly, inflated 1.66 due to him handing out better than a hit per inning he has tossed: 37 hits over 30.2 IP. His control has been adequate, allowing only 14 free passes in his seven starts. The Twins on the road are a nice matchup to open the scoring period, although it would be more favorable were he not facing the Marlins in Miami, as the “Fish” are playing much better in Loan Depot Park than when on the road.
Sugano has only had one awful start among his five trips to toe the rubber for the Rockies, and that was against the Dodgers, so not unexpected. He has a pair of good matchups in store this coming week, getting the Mets and David Peterson as his mound opponent to open the scoring period (Peterson is a bottom-tier dual start option this week), and while the second game is at Coors Field, it is against the struggling Phillies. He is an effective, not a dominant starter, with his 2.1 BB/9 rate evidence of his control, and his below-average K rate (6.5 K/9 through 26.1 IP) demonstrating his lack of dominance over opposing hitters.
Junk has held opponents scoreless over his last two times toeing the rubber, going 11.0 IP and being credited with two victories and a Quality Start (QS) in his most recent outing. His strikeout numbers are well below league average (5.7 K/9 through 33.0 IP), but the control is spot on (2.2 BB/9). The 30-year-old right-hander has two home games on his schedule this coming week, and as noted above, the Marlins are a force to be reckoned with in their home park so far in 2026.
Ritchie is not guaranteed a spot in the Braves’ rotation once Spencer Strider comes off the IL, potentially this weekend. Provided he sticks in the starting rotation, he does not have immensely favorable matchups on the horizon, heading to Seattle to open the week, then being scheduled to face the Dodgers in LA. The Braves are playing exceptionally assertively this season, though, and that makes the rookie a worthwhile starting option, so long as he is not reassigned to Triple A.

As noted above, these are the dual-start SPs that have more potential to harm your fantasy team than provide benefit, despite their two-start status in Week 7. While you may be tempted to consider them for a streaming start, please consider those in the next portion of this article for those uses instead. Your ratio stats will thank you. Any counting stats you pick up will likely be offset by the harm to your team's ERA and WHIP.
Potential Streaming Options for Week 7
There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters candidates:
Tuesday, May 5, 2026
Peter Lambert, Houston Astros vs Los Angeles Dodgers
Lambert’s ERA sits at a useful 3.52 after giving up a pair of runs to the host Orioles in a short 4.1 IP effort. A 19:7 K/BB ratio recommends him as a SP that can provide some beneficial pitching value, although this is definitely not the ideal matchup for the righty immediately after taking a loss at Camden Yards.
Erick Fedde, Chicago White Sox @ Los Angeles Angels
Despite pitching well overall this season, the veteran right-hander is winless on the season, sitting with an 0-3 record, likely due to a large measure because of the team he pitches for. He wrangled his second QS against the visiting Angel squad, whom he gets to face in this contest, although on the road this time around, which does not play to his home/road strengths, admittedly. He does carry a 3.24 ERA and 1.05 WHIP through his four starts (six appearances consisting of 33.1 IP), but he does not offer great K numbers, and his peripheral metrics hint at coming negative regression, as well.
Wednesday, May 6, 2026
Patrick Corbin, Toronto Blue Jays @ Tampa Bay Rays
The veteran southpaw has pitched satisfactorily since being inserted into the injury-plagued Toronto rotation, accumulating a 3.72 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over his 19.1 IP. He has a 16:6 K/BB ratio in his favor. Since his first start, he has kept the ball in the park, and in this young season, he has been highly effective on the road, where his next start sees him take the mound.
Thursday, May 7, 2026
Jake Irvin, Washington Nationals vs Minnesota Twins
The fourth-year righty racked up a season-high nine Ks in his most recent time toeing the rubber, striking out four White Sox hitters in one frame due to a passed ball and throwing error. He carries a respectable 1.18 WHIP and 34:11 K/BB ratio through his 29.2 IP to date, although his 4.85 is not attractive, but is mostly attributable to an unsuccessful outing against the Dodgers early in the season. Facing the visiting Twins offense at home is a decided advantage for the 29-year-old.
J.T. Ginn, Sacramento Athletics @ Philadelphia Phillies
Ginn’s last start was terminated early due to concern about his shoulder, but fortunately for the 26-year-old third-year SP, his exams came back clean, and he is good to go against the struggling Phillies in this contest. He takes a reputable 3.24 ERA and 1.08 WHIP into this game, although looking at his peripheral metrics gives some cause for concern about his ability to continue to be as useful as things shake out for him.
Friday, May 8, 2026
Foster Griffin, Washington Nationals @ Miami Marlins
There is little to complain about with respect to the veteran 30-year-old’s production on the hill this season: 2.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 30:10 K/BB, 3-0 record through six starts. He has tossed consecutive QS games, and even with those excellent overall stats spelled out above, he has been better away from Nationals Park when toeing the rubber. The main concern is that the opponent enjoys playing at home, as well.
Connor Prielipp, Minnesota Twins @ Cleveland Guardians
The rookie southpaw scored his first major league victory against the visiting Mariners, again allowing just two earned tallies in his effort. He now has 11 Ks over his 9.0 IP, against just three free passes. He has a stellar 0.89 WHIP to his credit, and in a small sample size, his peripheral metrics suggest he has been a titch unlucky so far. The upcoming road game in Cleveland will be a good test of the youngster's skill set.
Michael McGreevy, St. Louis Cardinals @ San Diego Padres
The 25-year-old righty tossed his third QS on the season, holding the visiting Mariners to just a single earned run (on a dinger). He now has an admirable 2.97 ERA and 0.90 WHIP, accumulated over the course of his 33.1 IP this season. He relies on his great control, allowing just five walks this year, although his K rate is definitely below league average, with just 21 strikeouts to his credit in 2026. It will be an interesting matchup with the road warrior Cardinals taking on the Padres in their favored home park in San Diego.
Kumar Rocker, Texas Rangers vs Chicago Cubs
The third-year right-hander has developed into a dependable SP for fantasy purposes, bringing a 3.38 ERA into Week 7, albeit also toting along a slightly inflated WHIP (1.31), mostly triggered by his propensity to allow nearly a hit per frame, but also due to some below-average control (3.38 BB/9 over his 26.2 IP in 2026). He does offer average strikeout potential, and his home/road splits imply that this contest is a fine one to rely on his streaming potential.
Saturday, May 9, 2026
Chad Patrick, Milwaukee Brewers vs New York Yankees
The second-year righty has allowed two or fewer earned tallies in all but one of his six starts this season to date, and as a result owns some impressive ratio stats: 2.57 ERA and 1.25 WHIP through his 28.0 IP in 2026. The fact that he gets to take on the Yankees at home is a positive factor in considering to plug him in as a streamer SP at the end of the scoring period, although the Bronx Bombers have been enjoying their time on the road this year, too.
Dustin May, St. Louis Cardinals @ San Diego Padres
The veteran righty has overcome a horrendous start to the season, and while his ERA is still a bloated 5.28, he has strung together four starts where he allowed two (once) or one (thrice) earned runs while toiling on the bump. Unlike others profiled above, his peripheral metrics intimate that he has continued success on the hill in his future, and that he has been unlucky thus far.
Jack Kochanowicz, Los Angeles Angels @ Toronto Blue Jays
Despite tossing his third QS in his last four starts, he was stuck with another no-decision when the Angel bullpen imploded against the host White Sox. He boasts an excellent set of ratios: 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP over his 35.0 IP accumulated over six starts. He has been showing off much better control over his last couple of outings, and his strikeouts are widely varied from start to start.
Kyle Freeland, Colorado Rockies @ Philadelphia Phillies
The veteran lefty returned from a shoulder injury and was waylaid by the host Reds’ offense to the tune of four earned runs, causing his respectable ERA to grow by better than an earned run to 3.48. He still possesses a superior 1.11 WHIP and a noteworthy 17:5 K/BB ratio over 20.2 IP this season. Despite some recent success, the Phillies are still a potentially favorable matchup.
