Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers & Streaming Starters - 4/4
As the season progresses, we are seeing some intriguing results from our slate of Fantasy Baseball 2026 Two-Start Pitchers on the schedule for dual trips to toe the rubber in Week 3. There is an excellent slate of top-tier arms to choose from this scoring period, although the middle group is not as bountiful with SP options, which will likely change as the year goes forward.
The cast of Fantasy Baseball 2026 Streaming Starters profiled below in the second portion of this week’s report is well stocked from Tuesday to Saturday, for you to consider as temporary additions to your fantasy baseball rotations.
Please realize that these articles feature the most recent rotation information available at the time they are written, but circumstances can change due to weather conditions, injuries, and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies, but this article is meant to provide analysis; it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.
Without further ado, here are this week’s two start pitchers:

This upper tier of arms offers a wealth of options to pick from, although likely most are not available for you to pick up as other managers likely perceived their value at draft time. Even so, if you possess one or more of these hurlers as part of your active roster, the suggestion would be to insert them into your rotation and reap the promised benefits, enjoying your draft-day wisdom in rostering these SPs.

Cameron entered his second MLB season in fine fashion, going five innings and allowing just four hits and one free pass, while collecting a K per inning. He is coming off a rookie campaign where the southpaw started 24 games and posted an impressive 2.99 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. His peripheral metrics hint at some luck in 2025: .241 BABIP, 84% LOB, 4.17 FIP, so there could be some negative regression in his sophomore season.
Gallen bounced back after his season-opening loss to the reigning World Champs in LA, holding the visiting Tiger offense scoreless through six innings for a quality start (QS) and his first 2026 victory. He has not been missing many bats to open the season, but his control is spot on (1.8 BB/9 through 10.0 IP. He has a pair of road games on his slate, so do not get your hopes up overly high if you choose to employ his services for both his scheduled times atop the hill in Week 3.
The right-handed rookie Chandler did not yield an earned run in his first major league action this season, although he did hold the host Reds hitless over 4.1 IP and he struck out six batters. He also allowed six walks, so his control is a concern. His first Week 3 start is at home, but then he heads to the North Side of Chicago to face the Cubbies.
Taillon is scheduled to face Chandler in that late week contest, after taking the hill in Florida to match up against the Rays for his first start of the scoring period. The veteran righty was unpredictably wild in his first start against the visiting Angels, handing out four walks but only allowing two hits over his 4.1 IP stint on the mound. He will look to resume his usual effective control and perhaps miss a few more bats, although he is at best a below-average source of Ks.
Bradley was able to fool the Oriole hitters effectively in his first start of the new season, racking up nine Ks over just 4.1 IP. He was also somewhat wild, passing out three free passes which contributed to his shortened time on the bump and effectively eliminating his opportunity to pick up a victory. His upcoming mound opponents are a pair of Cy Young winners, so he does not necessarily have much wriggle room if he wishes to notch some wins in Week 3.
Littell did not start the game in Philly but did toss five frames and was tagged with the loss, partially due to handing out two dingers to the opposing offense. He lines up presumably start twice in Week 3, his first outing being of limited time on the hill due to his late signing with the Nationals during early March. His next two scheduled appearances should be games where he will toe the rubber from the opening of the contest, and the first at home against the Cardinals, especially since he will be called upon to throw the first offering to the opposition. He will also look to reestablish his control, which he has demonstrated over his career. He will also be working on missing more bats and limiting the long ball, which was a decidedly new and unappealing part of his game last season.
Houser split time with the Rays and White Sox last season, putting together a bounce back effort where he posted good ratios: 3.31 ERA and 1.28 WHIP over 125.0 IP. He moves to a pitcher’s park in joining the Giants, and his propensity to keep the ball on the ground and in the park will help to offset his below-average strikeout work.
Scherzer opened the season with a victory, shutting down the Rockies in Toronto for the most part, allowing just four safeties over his 6.0 IP, although the lone run scored came via a dinger he allowed to Hunter Goodman in his final frame of work. Credited with a victory on his QS, he demonstrated at least early on this season that he still has the skills to deliver on the mound. He has two home starts on tap in Week 3, playing to his strength with regard to his home/road splits last season.

These are the SPs that may tempt you with their dual-start status this week, but you would do best to look elsewhere for pitching help. The counting stats they may provide will likely be overwhelmed by the damage they will provide to your ratio numbers, although you might want to consider one or two for a spot start, say Marquez at home against the visiting Rockies. But generally, you will be better suited to seek your 2026 Fantasy Baseball Streaming Starters from the ranks profiled immediately below.
Potential Streaming Options for Week 3
There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters candidates:
Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Cade Cavalli, Washington Nationals vs. St. Louis Cardinals
The 27-year-old righty did not figure into the results in his second start of the season, but did collect a QS against the host Phillies. He did hit a couple of batters, and has allowed five free passes over his 9.2 IP on the year, so he definitely needs to work on his control, especially with his below-average K rate during his time in the big leagues.
Wednesday, April 8, 2026
Joey Cantillo, Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals
The young southpaw’s first start was cut short due to his lack of efficiency, lasting just 3.2 IP after throwing 91 pitches. He did rack up five Ks but also allowed three walks and also uncorked a wild pitch. His second start worked out better, seeing him last 5.1 IP while notching six Ks in a no decision against the visiting Cubs. He looked solid for the Guardians last season, collecting Ks at better than one per inning over his 95.1 IP as both a starter and in relief, but he is targeted as a full-time starter in 2026, and should be a solid source of strikeouts for his owners.
Chad Patrick, Milwaukee Brewers @ Boston Red Sox
The 27-year-old has snagged a starting rotation slot to open the year, but Milwaukee has a slew of arms to rotate into their starting staff, including some other youngsters such as Logan Henderson and Robert Gasser, to name a couple. This would be a good time to take advantage of the righty’s presence in the starting rotation, even with this start being on the road in a tougher hitter’s park.
Michael McGreevy, St. Louis Cardinals @ Washington Nationals
The third-year righthander was brilliant in his first outing of the year, twirling 6.0 IP of no-hit ball, but was denied any decision due to the failure of the St. Louis bullpen to hold the lead. He struck out five Tampa Bay hitters, and walked two. His second start in Detroit resulted in him taking a loss, allowing three runs over just 4.2 IP, but his offense did him no favors, being shutout by the Tigers. He has to head on the road against a surprisingly offensive Nationals squad early on in 2026, but he was more of a road warrior last season, so he has that on his side.
Joe Boyle, Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago Cubs
The righty landed in the Tampa Bay rotation due to Ryan Pepiot’s hip injury, and he responded by tossing a QS although he did not figure into the decision. He struck out four Cardinal hitters without allowing a walk on 75 pitches. His second time on the bump saw him rack up nine Ks over 5.1 IP on the road in Minnesota. He gets a home start here, which plays into his home/road strengths as demonstrated last season.
Thursday, April 9, 2026
Randy Vasquez, San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies
The fourth-year SP was impressive in his first start of the season, two-hitting the visiting Tigers over 6.0 IP and holding the Detroit squad scoreless while collecting an impressive eight Ks. The whiffs were likely due to an uptick in his fastball velocity, which bodes well for his production going forward. He may be a streamer option this start, but if you add him to your rotation, you might want to consider keeping him around if he can keep missing bats at this rate.
Rhett Lowder, Cincinnati Reds @ Miami Marlins
A first-round draft pick, he missed the bulk of last season due to injury, but in his initial appearance this season, collected five Ks in a 5.0 IP no-decision against the visiting Red Sox. If he continues to miss bats effectively, he could be an excellent waiver wire addition to a fantasy rotation.
Eduardo Rodriguez, Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets
The veteran southpaw has struggled over the past couple of seasons, but did finish 2025 strong, and now enters 2026 with an effective first game against the Dodgers, allowing just an unearned tally while striking out five batters. It will be interesting to see if the 32-year-old can continue to resurrect his career when he heads to Citi Field for this start.
Jeffrey Springs, Athletics @ New York Yankees
Another veteran lefthander who is served by climbing the hill on the road, as his home park saw him struggle last year when dealing in Sacramento. Granted, this is not an ideal matchup, but he did pitch adequately if not spectacularly in his first start in Toronto. He should offer better K production that he showed in his first trip to the mound, although nothing to write home about, as he has been a below-average strikeout producer last season, his first campaign where he tossed significant innings in a while.
Friday, April 10, 2026
Bryce Elder, Atlanta Braves vs. Cleveland Guardians
The 26-year-old righty picked up both a victory and a QS by tossing 6.0 IP of five-hit scoreless baseball against the visiting Athletics. He collected five Ks while handing out just a single walk, and carries a superior set of ratios after that initial effort: 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP. These numbers will regress, naturally, but he does get to face the Guardians here at home..
Landen Roupp San Francisco Giants @ Baltimore Orioles
The righty opened his season by amassing both a victory and a QS in his 6.0 IP effort on the road in San Diego. He struck out seven Padre hitters, and held the opponents to just two hits and handed out two walks, resulting in a 0.67 WHIP to go with an unblemished ERA to begin 2026.
Carmen Mlodzinski, Milwaukee Brewers @ Chicago Cubs
After tossing just 99.0 IP in 2025, do not expect the Pirates to allow the righty to go too deep into his starts. He did rack up eight Ks in just 4.1 IP in his first start against the host Mets, and did not hand out a free pass. He will be served by his ability to miss bats consistently, while also generating ground balls and keeping the ball in the park.
Jake Irvin Washington Nationals @ Milwaukee Brewers
The seven strikeouts he gathered in his opening victory against the Cubs in Wrigley are nice, but the two homers he allowed are worrisome. He is starting his season on positive notes, and his home/road splits over the past couple of seasons slightly favor his efforts away from his home park, so this is a favorable streaming situation, at least early on in 2026.
Saturday, April 11, 2026
Eric Lauer, Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins
The southpaw also collected his first victory of the 2026 season against the Athletics, holding the A’s to two earned runs on three hits and a walk. He managed to accumulate nine Ks over his 5.1 IP, an unsustainable rate of production, but he should still provide good strikeout numbers going forward
Nick Martinez, Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees
Luis Gil, New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays
The first game where both sides of the starting pitching tandem are suggested as potential streaming options, the Ray SP is coming off a QS where he was adequate but unexciting over 6.0 IP, allowing two earned runs of six hits and no walks, and only striking out three host Brewers.
Gil will be recalled from Triple-A to make his first start of the year for the Yankees. He is coming off an impressive spring, where he posted a 24:5 K/BB ratio over his 19.1 IP in Florida. His rotation slot is certainly not guaranteed going forward as the other injured SPs on the team return to action (Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon), so this is an opportunity to potentially pick up some Ks to pad your counting stats.
Foster Griffin, Washington Nationals @ Milwaukee Brewers
The Nationals southpaw had not climbed the hill in a major league park since 2022, prior to beating the Phillies on Monday, while striking out a hitter per inning in that effort. He did not walk a batter, although he did allow a two-run homer to sully his results on the bump.
Lance McCullers, Houston Astros @ Seattle Mariners
The veteran righty opened his 2026 campaign by dominating the visiting Red Sox offense for six innings before allowing a run in the seventh frame. He collected nine Ks over his time on the mound, while notching a QS/W twin return on his efforts toeing the rubber. He dominated while pitching away from home last season, and will look to continue that trend in this matchup.
