Not so many Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters to choose from this scoring period, so it is a positing thing that once again the top tier group of Fantasy Baseball 2025 Two-Start Pitchers is chock-full once again. The season may be heading into the final month, but there is plenty of time to accumulate counting stats while improving on the ratios for your pitching rotation SPs.

Please realize that these articles feature most recent rotation information available when the article is written, but that circumstances do change due to weather conditions, injuries and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies but this article is meant to provide analysis, it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.

This is the group of dual-start hurlers you should be grateful to have adorning your fantasy rotations, presuming you were savvy enough to either snag them off the wire or pick them up in your drafts. As per usual, just plug these arms into your lineups and worry not about where they are scrapping the slab or against whom they are tossing the pellet.

Priester has gone without a decision in three consecutive outings, after snapping off five straight victories prior to that, and also collecting 10 wins over a stretch of a dozen trips to the hill. He is sporting a useful 3.44 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over his 128.1 IP this season so far, including his most recent outing against the host Cubbies on Thursday. He has been a better option on the road for fantasy purposes, so neither of his two starts stand out as potential pitfalls; his peripheral metrics were hinting that his performance on the bump might take a slight detour from his admittedly excellent stretch prior to these last three outings where he has not pitched deep enough to offer up a quality start (QS) as he failed to continue providing wins for his fantasy owner.

Waldrep is having success in collecting victories, with four wins in four starts. He came within one out of making all four of those appearances QS. The superior ratios he is flashing-0.73 ERA, 0.77 WHIP over 24.2 IP-are unlikely to continue unabated, but he is striking out nearly a hitter per frame (8.8 K/9) and is generating a ton of groundballs while on the mound: 50.0% GB. The rookie is due to take the ball for two road contests in Week 22, but pitching at home or away from Truist Park has not seemed an impediment to this point in his early career in the big leagues. He is certainly making an impression on fantasy managers; if he is still on your waiver wire, make a claim now.

Cameron failed to pitch at least five innings for the first time in eight starts, although he did collect a K per frame while allowing only a pair of earned runs. He brings an attractive set of ratios into Week 22: 2.53 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, with a K rate slightly below average (7.3 K/9 through 103.0 IP this year) but good control (2.7 BB/9). The first game this coming week is on the road but against the cellar-dwelling White Sox, who possess the worst record in the AL, and he gets to take on Tarik Skubal and the Tigers at his home park, a slight positive factor for his second start of Week 22.

Giolito notched his 12th QS of the season, in a no-decision against the visiting Marlins, where he held Miami to just a single run on seven hits and one walk. He started his tenure with the Red Sox by struggling to a 5.45 ERA and 1.54 WHIP as late as June 10th. The fact that his ratios now sit at 3.63 ERA and 1.25 WHIP attest as to how he has turned his season around. In his most recent dozen times toeing the rubber, he has amassed a 2.34 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, although his K rate is pedestrian at best, sitting at 7.3 over the course of the season thus far. Week 22 arrives with a pair of good matchups to continue his season’s resurrection.

Alcantara has been either extremely effective or wildly inconsistent in his last six times scraping the slab. In four of those starts, he has allowed one or zero earned runs (three QS), but yielding 11 earned runs in the other two games sandwiched between the excellence on the mound. He faces a fellow denizen of this tier when the Braves come to town for his first time on the bump in Week 22, but then has to travel to the Big Apple for a contest against the Mets and Sean Manaea, who is residing in the upper tier this week. He has seen an uptick in both his control and dominance on the hill recently.

Schlittler has a pair of good matchups coming up on his schedule this coming week, and is coming of six innings of perfect pitching in his last outing. Granted, he ended up taking a no-decision in that contest due to the Yankee bullpen melting down, but he has been collecting Ks at better than a strikeout per frame in his limited 36.1 IP. That game in Tampa Bay where he was dominant for six frames was his first QS of the season.

Lord managed to pick up a victory in his last outing, despite allowing four earned runs over his 5.1 IP. In the five games prior to that effort, however, he had allowed just eight earned runs over 26.0 IP (2.77 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP). His tougher matchup plays to his home/road strengths, a road game in Yankee Stadium, making his dual starts both worthy of his usage in Week 22.

McGreevy has tossed six frames in each of his last four times atop the bump, and the last three have been QS. He matched his season high in Ks (with five) in his last outing, a victory over the Marlins in Miami, where he did not issue one free pass. While he is a two-start pitcher in Week 22, the better matchup on paper is offset by his struggles on the mound in St. Louis, making the game in Cincy the tastier of the two contests to employ his services. Because of the free swinging ways of his Week 22 opponents, he will likely pick up a few whiffs, but it is his control that is most impressive and aids his effort while on the hill.

Gil has a pair of excellent matchups on the schedule for the upcoming week. He has collected 17 Ks over his admittedly limited 19.0 IP on the season. His control needs attention, however, as he has handed out 13 free passes, including five in his most recent outing against the visiting Red Sox on Thursday evening. The lack of command and control are concerning, but he is coming off a spring training lat strain injury, but his past history has never demonstrated pin-point accuracy with his offerings to hitters.

Although these arms are not considered worthy of slipping into your rotations without question for both their scheduled trips to the hill, you might want to consider using one or more for a single start. Just realize that these SPs are in the bottom tier because their recent production suggests that there is more likelihood they will damage your ratio stats without much contribution in the counting stat realm.

Potential Streaming Options for Week 22

There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters candidates:

Charlie Morton, Detroit Tigers @ Athletics

The 41-year-old righthander Morton picked up the win against the visiting Astros on Wednesday afternoon at Comerica Park, holding Houston to just two runs on three hits and striking out eight batters. He now has 29 Ks over his 22.1 IP with his new team. He has become a useful SP since moving to Detroit from Baltimore, continuing to rebuild his season after a tough opening to the year. Because of those early struggles, he is available for selection from the wire in loads of leagues, and this is a fine time to add him to your rotation, not just for this start, but perhaps going forward, as well.

Michael Lorenzen, Kansas City Royals @ Chicago White Sox

The veteran righthander Lorenzen returned from the 15-day IL to toss four scoreless innings. His return to action was limited due to an inflated pitch count, but his ability to pitch deeper into games should return as he goes forward for the Royals. This matchup would be more favorable were it not on the road, but the opponent is certainly not overly daunting, although the Pale Hose do play better when at Rate Field. The 33-year-old provides below-average K production with good control: 7.6 K/9, 2.7 BB/9 through 103.2 IP in 2025 to date.

Cade Cavelli, Washington Nationals @ New York Yankees

The rookie righthander Cavelli only has 16.1 IP under his belt since being promoted to the big leagues, but has looked extraordinarily sharp in two of his three outings. He has an overall 2.20 ERA over his three starts, and will be looking to claim a rotation spot in 2026 with a strong finish to the this season. He has shown good control with slightly below-average strikeout production. He was a first round selection back in 2020, rising through the minors until his 2023 Tommy John surgery (TJS).

Taijuan Walker, Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Mets

Despite taking a loss against the host Nationals, Walker did toss his third consecutive QS in Nationals Park last weekend. The veteran righthander is not much for Ks, and his occasionally spotty control adds to his inflated 1.29 WHIP through his 91.2 IP this season. He has been more of a road warrior this season, so heading to Citi Field is no reason to avoid using him, although his peripheral metrics do suggest he may have been lucky and could be poised for negative correction.

Ryan Bergert, Kansas City Royals @ Chicago White Sox

Another Royals SP being nominated as a streaming option, in Bergert's three appearances to date as a member of the Kansas City pitching staff he had put up a stellar 2.70 ERA and 1.02 WHIP, a fine set of ratios. He has also pitched five frames or better in all three of those trips to the hill, and struck out a hitter per frame (9.2 K/9 actually). As with his rotation-mate Lorenzen, this is a favorable matchup in terms of opponent.

Janson Junk, Miami Marlins @ New York Mets

The 29-year-old righty Junk lasted a season-high 7.0 IP in his last time toeing the rubber, although he had to settle for a no-decision again, his second in a row. He continues to help himself with excellent control (1.0 BB/9 through his 82.1 IP this season thus far). His peripheral metrics hint that he has been a tad unlucky: 3.05 FIP vs 4.04 ERA, 63.1 LOB%. He has also been more effective on the bump when pitching on foreign soil as opposed to dealing from the hill in Miami.

Logan Allen, Cleveland Guardians vs Seattle Mariners

The third-year southpaw Allen has been on a trend to lower his ERA, now sitting at a palatable 3.87 through his 23 starts (123.1 IP). His lack of control is concerning, evidenced by his 1.40 WHIP (51 BB in 2025 so far). His home/road splits are nearly even, so a home start is not a major plus on his ledger, although getting Seattle away from their home park is a positive.
