Two plus months of action are in the record books, but that does not mean that we are not being surprised by the Fantasy Baseball 2025 Two-Start Pitchers that line up for fantasy owners to consider plugging into their rotations every week. Fortunately, this week delivers a significant volume of top-tier arms to employ, some of which could be available on your league waiver wire. There are also a wealth of Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters profiled in the second half of this week’s article to potentially punch-up your rotation(s) in Week 11.

Please realize that these articles feature most recent rotation information available when the article is written, but that circumstances do change due to weather conditions, injuries and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies but this article is meant to provide analysis, it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.

Without further ado, here are this week’s two start pitchers:

These are the arms you should simply wind up and let them go for both their starts in Week 11. As noted above, there are a couple whose ownership percentages (Schmidt, Mikolas) might favor your ability to snatch them from under the noses of your league mates and revel in their dual start value.

Kikuchi continues to have difficulties locating the plate, having handed out an extraordinary 18 free passes. Granted, he has collected 20 Ks over those 21.1 IP and has limited the opposing hitters crossing the plate to just five over those four games. He has a pair of good matchups on tap, even with the inflated WHIP due to all those walks he issues when he is toeing the rubber.

Abel has been called up from Triple-A to take over for Taijuan Walker, who has been relegated to a bullpen role, and will likely stick in the rotation only until Aaron Nola is ready to come off the IL. But that means he has a two-start week on the schedule, and he did rack up nine Ks in his only start for the big league club this season, picking up the victory while holding the visiting Pirates to five hits and no runs. His two Week 11 trips to the hill are at home, a potential positive to help offset facing two top-tier arms.

Ortiz has been a featured streaming option over each of the last three weeks in this article, and now he finally lands as dual-start selection in Week 11. His season long ratios are not that attractive for fantasy purposes (4.40 ERA, 1.43 WHIP), but looking at his efforts on the hill since the beginning of May presents a useful picture: 3.95 ERA, 9.2 K/9. He does struggle with his control, so the WHIP is still inflated, and he has not been on the winning side of a decision since mid-April. His home/road splits suggest that using him for his home start against the Reds is the better opportunity to plug him into your rotation.

Harrison, a 23-year-old southpaw who was moved from the bullpen to join the rotation due to Justin Verlander’s pectoral injury, has been acquitting himself quite well, tossing 9.0 IP while allowing just two earned tallies and striking out nine opposing hitters. He may not stick in the rotation for both his scheduled starts, and both his Week 11 appearances are road games, the first at Coors Field. Still, it seems most likely he will face the Rockies and that has been generally a good thing for the most part this season.

Hancock’s status as a two-start SP is in jeopardy, with Logan Gilbert on the mend and likely to return to the Seattle rotation sometime in Week 11. The 26-year-old righty has been mostly effective while on the bump over his last three stats, posting a useful 3.38 ERA and racking up one victory over those three outings, which was also his fourth quality start (QS) in 2025. Should he stay in the rotation for both starts in the scoring period, he has good matchups in store.

These are the SPs you want to let sit on the waiver wire rather than allow their presence in your rotation damage your ratio stats while not contributing much in the way of counting stats. If you were to need an arm or two due to inning requirements, you could look to the opponent and venue and potentially find a useful streaming hurler, but you would be better served with those SPs profiled below in the second half of this week’s report for plug-and-play alternatives.

Potential Streaming Options for Week 11

There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starter candidates:

Bailey Falter, Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Miami Marlins

Cal Quantrill, Miami Marlins @ Pittsburgh Pirates

We open the streaming discussion with a game where both the SPs are worthy of consideration as additions to your fantasy baseball rotations. Falter has been simply outstanding through the month of May, posting a superior set of ratios: 0.76 ERA, 0.84 WHIP through his 35.2 IP. He has also not allowed anyone to leave the park since his first May appearance. Not a great source of strikeouts, with his below-average 5.2 K/9 rate on the year, his main downside aside from pitching for the underwhelming Pirates, who are not going to provide him with a ton of chances to pick up victories.

The SP in the other dugout, Quantrill, may not offer nearly as eye-popping a set of ratio stats, but the 3.18 ERA and 1.19 WHIP he has amassed over the month of May are nothing to sneeze at, either. Plus, he is a much better source of Ks, as evidenced by his 22:6 K/BB over his 22.2 IP over the past month. Pitching on the road at PNC Park is not as favorable for the Miami hurler as the venue favors his opponent.

Chad Patrick, Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves

Patrick has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any of his contests this season, and brings an attractive 2.97 ERA into Week 11, with an equally appealing 1.21 WHIP. He has collected a 57:18 K/BB ratio over his 63.2 IP this year, so he strikes out a fair share of opposing hitters while not hurting himself with a lack of control. He also has a home game against the Braves who are not faring well when away from their home park thus far in 2025.

Dean Kremer, Baltimore Orioles vs. Detroit Tigers

The veteran righty has turned his season around dramatically, as the month of May has been favorable in terms of overall production. He has collected three QS over the past month, and posted a superior 2.72 ERA over those 36.1 IP. On the plus side of the ledger, he gets the Tigers away from Comerica Park, where although still winning more than losing, the potential to find a victory has greater odds.

Adrian Houser, Chicago White Sox @ Houston Astros

Despite giving up his first runs of the season, and taking the loss, the veteran righthander Houser also collected his third consecutive QS against the host Orioles. He offers a 1.47 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in limited action this season, although facing the Astros at their home park does give some hesitation in believing a fourth QS is in line in this outing.

Ryan Yarbrough, New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox

The 33-year-old southpaw Yarbrough has yielded a round-tripper in each of his last four starts, although in the three most recent times toeing the rubber, that was the sole run he allowed. He is working on a two-game QS streak. He will have faced the Red Sox at home prior to this matchup in Fenway Park, so review of his weekend start could be informative if you are considering plucking him from the wire to insert in your fantasy rotation in Week 11. He is striking out nearly a batter per frame on the season.

Chris Paddack, Minnesota Twins @ Houston Astros

Over his last five outings, the veteran righty Paddack has posted an exceptional 1.64 ERA and superior 0.79 WHIP, a serious set of ratios. His strikeout production is sub-par, with a 6.9 K/9 over his 65.1 IP on the season, although he does help himself with good control (2.8 BB/9). His peripheral metrics hint that some negative regression may be forthcoming; 4.09 FIP as opposed to 3.58 ERA, and an unsustainable .245 BABIP. His potential as a streaming option was diminished when his start at home against the Rangers was shifted to his road game in Houston, but he still offers imaginable fantasy value in this matchup, just not as much.

Aaron Civale, Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

His last three outings have seen him post a useful 3.14 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over 14.1 IP. He gets to climb the hill at home for this contest, favoring his home/road splits (small sample size, admittedly) and not being favorable for the opponents, who much prefer playing in St. Louis this season. He offers slightly below-average K production with above-average control: 7.3 K/9, 2.6 BB/9 over his limited 17.1 IP in 2025.

Edward Cabrera, Miami Marlins @ Washington Nationals

The fifth-year righty has turned his season around, opening in April with awful results, but replacing that disappointment with superior effort in May. His putrid 7.73 ERA and 1.77 WHIP accumulated over 18.2 IP in April transformed into much more useful ratios in May: 2.00 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 28:8 K/BB over 27.0 IP. He has been a better road hurler this season, and the opponent is a sub-.500 team at home as of the writing of this article.

Bryce Elder, Atlanta Braves vs. Colorado Rockies

It is the matchup that recommends the Braves’ righthander here, as he is coming off a trip to the mound where he allowed three earned runs over 5.1 IP, on six hits and three walks while collecting just four Ks. Getting the Rockies away from Coors Field is a plus, as is the fact that the Colorado offense leads all of baseball in strikeouts generated from their hitters.

Charlie Morton, Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels

The veteran hurler Morton has rebounded from a terrible start to open the season that saw him removed from the rotation and relegated to relief work, picking up his second consecutive victory and QS by holding the visiting White Sox to one unearned tally while racking up seven Ks. He will make an effort to keep his rejuvenated pitching efforts going at home against an opponent who seems to prefer playing on the road, so given his earlier struggles compared to his recent success on the bump make Morton a risky streaming option, but there is his previous track record to consider, as well.

Ryne Nelson, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Diego Padres

Corbin Burnes’ recent elbow issue has moved the 27-year-old righty into the Diamondback rotation. In three previous starts this season, he has allowed just three runs over those 16.0 IP. The ability to miss a lot of bats is not one of his attributes, as his 7.5 K/9 rate is below average, although he does feature good control (2.4 BB/9 through 42.0 IP both out of the bullpen and as a SP). He gets to face the Padres at home, a positive for him, especially against a team that has been sub-.500 on the road this season.

Landon Roupp, San Francisco Giants @ Los Angeles Dodgers

The second-year righthander returned to his shutout and QS ways against the visiting Padres, picking up his third QS in his last four outings. He has been striking out opponents at nearly a K per inning rate over the course of the season: 8.8 K/9 over 62.1 IP. His control could use some adjustments, sitting at 3.2 BB/9 on the season, helping to inflate his WHIP (1.38). He is effective at generating grounders from opposing hitters and has not let the ball leave the yard in any of his last four starts.
