Kyle Freeland Over 17.5 Outs

Freeland is a classic example of a Rockies pitcher that just can't wait to get away from Coors Field. In his five road starts this season he has a 3.00 ERA while striking out 23 over 27 innings. In his eight home starts he has a 5.32 ERA while striking out 25 over 45.2 innings. Freeland has recorded at least 18 outs in six of his last nine starts which includes each of his last three outings. Today he faces a Marlins team that ranks 29th in average, 30th in wOBA and 30th in OPS against left-handed pitching while having the highest strikeout rate in the league at 29.2%. All of this is adding up for a great day for Freeland.

 

Kyle Wright Over 6.0 Strikeouts

We've seen the Braves pitchers have some good strikeout production against the Giants in this series which included yesterday's performance from Charlie Morton where he finished with 11 strikeouts. Over the past two weeks, the Giants have the fourth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching at 25.8%. Wright has a 27.4% strikeout rate this season with a 9.94 K/9.  Wright has gone over today's strikeout total in three straight starts.
