Friday's PrizePicks MLB player props include top matchups for starters Clayton Kershaw and Sandy Alcantara as well as two other pitchers who  I find to be in favorable spots this evening. Kershaw has been pitching deeper into games over the past two starts and  Alcantara has been the league's top workhorse when it comes to innings pitched.

Clayton Kershaw Over 7.0 Strikeouts

This is the third straight night we've attacked the Angels with an opposing pitchers strikeout prop. We hit on Cristian Javier and were got by the hook last night with Framber Valdez. Tonight the Angels face off against Clayton Kershaw who has looked sharp in each of his last two starts, allowing just one run over 14.2 innings while striking out 18. Kershaw has a 27.6% strikeout rate this season and boasts a K/9 of 9.75. Now that the pitch limit has been removed we should feel confident in him going at least seven innings tonight with much higher strikeout potential given the matchup.

Sandy Alcantara Over 21.5 Outs

The Marlins did us dirty in Alcantara's last start as they pulled him after seven shutout innings at just 93 pitches. Alcantara has routinely tossed 100+ pitches this season and has a handful of complete games under his belt. Tonight we need at least 7.1 innings pitched to hit the over and this is something he has done in eight of his last 11 starts. He has faced the Phillies twice this season and in his most recent outing, he went 7.2 innings while allowing just two runs. Over the past month the Phillies rank just 26th in batting average and 26th in wOBA against right-handed pitching and they face one of the league's top righties here tonight.  I look for the Marlins to give Alcantara a long leash tonight knowing the All-Star break comes next week.

Brandon Woodruff Over 7.0 Strikeouts

We saw how well the Giants did last night against the Brewers righty Corbin Burnes and things don't get much easier for them tonight as they face off against Woodruff. In the three starts since he returned from the injured list Woodruff has looked like his old self, allowing just four runs over 16 innings while striking out 27. Woodruff hasn't struck out fewer than eight since his return to the mound which makes tonight's prop feel like a favorable number for him to hit.  Over the past 30 days the Giants have the third-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching at 25.2%.

Yu Darvish Over 18.5 Outs

This is the third time Darvish has faced the Diamondbacks this season he has dominated them in both outings, allowing just one run on four hits over 13 innings while striking out eight. Darvish no-hit the Diamondbacks over six innings during his season debut and was lifted after only 92 pitches. We need at least 6.1 innings from Darvish tonight to hit the over and that is something he has done in eight of his last 11 outings. Darvish has also dominated opponents at home this season, posting a 1.69 ERA over eight home starts.
