MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Starting Pitchers
MLB DFS Top Pitchers
Zack Wheeler (PHI)
Analysis: Houston is exactly league average against right-handed pitching since the All-Star break and Wheeler is pitching well. He's coming off back-to-back quality starts in which he's allowed just 1 ER and 6+ Ks in each. Wheeler's one of the best plays of the day.
Logan Gilbert (SEA) (DK)
Analysis: Texas' offense is bad against right-handed pitching. They have a 24.3% K-rate and they rank 23rd with a 91 wRC+. That said, I'm good with not playing Gilbert at massive ownership as he's the highest-rostered pitcher of the slate.
Max Fried (NYY) (FD)
Analysis: He threw 72 pitches in his last outing and he could get up to 85 in this outing. With how efficient Fried is, that could be 6-7 innings, especially in this spot against the Rockies. Since the All-Star break, Colorado is 27th in wRC+, 17th in OPS, and have a 22.3% K-rate.
Jacob deGrom (TEX) (DK)
Analysis: Dare I say Jacob deGrom is back? He's generated 18% SwStr or better in two straight and three of four and in all of those games he's put up 20+ DKP and has had 7+ Ks. The park upgrade cannot be understated because Seattle is the best park in the league.
Cristian Javier (HOU)
Analysis: Philadelphia has an 89 wRC+ against right-handed pitching since the All-Star game and Cristian Javier is coming off his best outing of the year. Javier's missing a BOATLOAD of bats as he's had a 16.5% SwStr or higher in four straight starts. Javier is an interesting GPP play.
