Luis Castillo Is Now A Member Of The Mariners

One of the prized MLB trade candidates, Luis Castillo, saw his tenure with the Reds come to an end as he makes his way to the Pacific Northwest and joins the surging Seattle Mariners. The M's now boast a rotation including Castillo, Logan Gilbert, Robbie Ray, and more. They're definitely built for the playoffs as they look to finish the season strong and make their first postseason appearance in almost 20 years. The Reds received four prospects in return including Seattle's top two prospects, Noelvi Marte and Edwin Arroyo. Looks like it's time for another significant rebuild in Southwest Ohio.

Aaron Judge Giveth, And Aaron Judge Taketh Away

It almost seems a little too easy to start the Fantasy Baseball Round Up with Aaron Judge every day. It's like clockwork. Wake up. Go to the bathroom. See how far Judge hit a baseball the night before. Last night was no different…

Judge now has 41 home runs in 98 games. And we still have two days left in July. And he didn't just provide offense, he also flashed a little leather as well…

It's a done deal. Give him the MVP. Give him a billion dollars. He's having a legendary season in the post-steroid era.

Salvador Perez Returns In A Big Way

Salvador Perez missed about a month after having surgery to repair some ligament damage in his thumb. The 2021 home run champion certainly returned in a BIG way…

The Royals still took the loss, but it was a welcome sign for Perez to be back in the lineup. Unfortunately for the Royals they now sit at 39-61 and are 13.5 games out of the AL Central division lead.

Austin Riley's Special Season Continues

Austin Riley's MVP campaign marched on Friday night and he was absolutely no time getting the Braves on the board…

Riley's home run would be follow by a pair of doubles and in total he drive in three runs and he now leads Major League Baseball in extra base hits. On the season, Austin Riley is now slashing .299/.360/.603 with 29 home runs, 61 runs scored, and 67 RBI. The Braves still sit three games back in the NL East but they've still had the best record in the league since June 1st.

Alek Manoah Leaves Early

He wasn't thrilled about it, but Manoah kicked off his weekend earlier than he might have wanted after being tagged with a come backer in the sixth inning of Friday's game against the Tigers.

Manoah wanted to stay in but the team made the right decision in pulling him out and he agrees as he was quoted saying “someone has to be the smart one.” X-rays came back negative and he doesn't anticipate missing his next start but that will depend on how his feels over the next few days.
