Jesus Aguilar, 1B MIA (DK - $3,600 / FD - $2,700)
The powerful righty is slumping right now, but this is a match-up that breaks that slump. Patrick Corbin has had a tough season and righties have made him pay. They’re hitting .294 with a .376 wOBA and .880 OPS against him. Aguilar has homered off him in the past and has had a lot of success throughout his career vs. LHP. He’s notched an .820 OPS and .347 career wOBA against LHP.
Bryan Reynolds, OF PIT (DK - $3,300 / FD - $3,000)
Why are we still doing this? Why is he still this cheap? Is it because he plays for Pittsburgh that we’re ignoring one of the hottest hitters in the game? He’s hit .400 over his last 10 games while belting three bombs and driving in 11 runs. He now has a .940 OPS on the eyar and draws a match-up against Adam Wainwright who’s struggled with lefties in recent years, allowing a .330+ wOBA to LHH in both 2018 and ‘19.
DraftKings
Kenta Maeda, SP MIN ($6,800)
Prior to Maeda’s injury, he was not pitching well, but he’s come back from injury refocused and looks SHARP. He’s allowed two earned or less in each start since returning and has 11 K’s in 9.1 IP. Maeda draws a good match-up against an Indians offense ranking 21st in OPS over the last two weeks and 21st for the year as well. They don’t strike out a whole lot, but Maeda should be able to stymie their offense and he’s under 7K on DK. That’s a steal.
George Springer, OF TOR ($3,700)
We’re not going to see this price for very long. Springer is a star and unfortunately for him, he’s been hurt all year long. He homered on Friday and has now driven in a run in each of the last two games he’s played in. Springer has mashed left-handed pitching his whole career posting a .508 SLG%, .894 OPS and .392 wOBA against them. His home park is so hitter friendly and although he’ll be chalky, he fits like a glove in all your Blue Jays stacks.
Tyler O’Neill, OF STL ($3,600)
Looking for a cheap home run? Look no further! O’Neill has belted 14 bombs against right-handed pitching this season and has a .397 wOBA. RHH have hit JT Brubaker hard this year posting a 1.8 HR/9 mark and 35.7% hard-hit rate. O’Neill is hitting in the midst of the Cardinals lineup poised to do a lot of damage in this spot.
FanDuel
Tommy Pham, OF SDP ($3,100)
What’s sneaky about this play is the match-up against Merrill Kelly. What do we know about Merrill Kelly? He’s a reverse splits guy. He struggles against right-handed hitters, allowing them to bat .287 with an .820 OPS and .350 wOBA. Pham has hit righties well himself, notching a .342 wOBA and that’s way up from where it was earlier in the year when he couldn’t hit ANYTHING. Pham homered on Friday and comes into this game hot.
Willy Adames, SS MIL ($2,400)
This is a great spot for the Brewers shortstop here as he faces Antonio Senzatela who really struggles facing same-handed hitters. He’s allowed a .301 AVG, .860 OPS and .368 wOBA to RHH. Adames comes into this game smokin’ hot, homering on Friday and hitting over .300 with a .900+ OPS over his last 10 outings.
