I can just smell the smoke from the grill. taste the succulence of those burgers and feel the chill of an ice cold beer as it hits your belly. Yeah, technically Memorial Day isn't the beginning of summer, but for many of us in the north and east it is our first time outside in nearly eight months. It's also the time of year to pay our respects to all of those who have laid their lives upon the alter of freedom. You see, all of these wonderful indulgences we shall partake in today, food, friends, booze, baseball...it all is possible because of the brave folks who signed up to serve and to even give their life so that we can spend this time with those we love and hold dear. So as you are enjoying yourself today I hope that each of you will take ast least a brief moment to raise and glass and pay your respects to those impossibly courageous souls.
Today we have a plethora of matinee baseball on our hands which creates a fairly chaotic slate of daily fantasy baseball. It appears as though the early slate today is the one that both FanDuel and Draft Kings have placed the bulk of their stock into today. We have MLB games starting basically every hour beginning at 1 PM ET all of the way through until the 9:05 PM ET game between the Tigers and Angels. So, the way I am going to play this for our purposes is to have the DFS MLB Rankings & Playbook be for the entire days worth of games with a weighted approach toward the early slate. I will be providing Optimal Lineups then for both the early and late slates of games for those of you who are Playbook PRO subscribers.
The only game that I am really worried about from a weather standpoint is the White Sox/Mets contest at Citi Field. It is supposed to rain in New York pretty much all morning long with Thunderstorms right around the ballpark. By the time the game is supposed to start a lot of those storms do seem to clear out but there is a reported 40% chance of additional storms throughout those games. Stay tuned to our lineups page that has live on site weather reports including the status of the tarp at all times. All of the other games appear to be weather free so go to town.
