It’s a good day to be a left-handed hitter as there quite a few right-handed starters going who really struggle against opposite-handed hitters. Guys like Matt Wisler, Eddie Butler, Chris Young, Steven Wright and Marco Estrada all have xFIPs north of 5.00 against left-handed hitters since the start of last year. And untested right-handers like Jon Moscot and Alex Meyer are in action today as well. Of the 29 hitters listed in today’s Playbook, 20 of them are lefties or switch-hitters hitting from the left side tonight against right-handed starters.
