I’m back to bring you guys my detailed Playbook, Rankings, and Optimal Lineups for Saturday’s big 16-game split slate. Today’s Playbook will include players from both the early slate (1:05 PM ET/10:05 AM PT roster lock) and late slate (7:05 PM ET/4:05 PM PT roster lock).
I will do my best to separate the players from each slate. The first three players at each position will be specifically for the early slate, and the last three players at each position will be for the late slate. As for Pitchers, I will include four pitchers for each slate, and Outfielders, I will include seven for each slate. But of course, Playbook PRO subscribers have access to my DFS MLB Rankings, which includes a few more players for each slate.
As always, it’ll be very important to keep an eye out on weather.
At the time of this writing, the two games that may have rain in play are Marlins/Nationals and Twins/Indians. The rain should hold off until later in the day, so in reality, the main game that's in trouble there is the 2nd game in the Doubleheader. As for the Twins/Indians, I've looked at numerous forecasts, and it appears the worst that we should get is some light rain throughout. The light stuff usually isn't an issue, but we'll have to see as we get closer to roster lock.
As for the late slate, both Tigers/Orioles and Reds/Phillies look like it’ll clear up for a late start, but you never know what will happen. For those looking out for optimal lineups, I will definitely keep my eyes open for any developments when it comes to weather, and won’t be shy about making any updates. You can follow me on Twitter @kle18 if you want to be kept in the loop, or just keep a close eye yourself on the Optimal Lineups thread.
