As usual, with only four early games we are not supporting the all day slate in DFS MLB tonight. We are concentrating on the evening slate where all of the big money cash game and tournaments are. If you are hell bent on playing the early games, I will offer a few of the better plays of this slate. I would roll out John Lackey and Drew Pomeranz in cash games easily in the day slate. I would also invest the most in the Cubs, Diamondbacks and Tigers bats. Middle tier players such as Jake Lamb and David Peralta really stand out as high upside options for you today.
So, we get a nice 11 game slate here on a Wednesday night. But what's more is that this is one of the few times recently that we have pretty much zero weather concerns. The Cubs/Phillies game in the early slate may have a delay in there but that one should get in as well. As usual, I urge you to check in on the weather later on in the day to make sure we are still clear on all ballparks. This is a good time also to see how the wind is blowing as well as it could really assist some of the bats while also flagging a pitcher or two who relies on off-speed pitches to get outs.
Speaking of pitching, we are loaded with it tonight. Pretty much every top pitcher is throwing this evening with Max Scherzer, Noah Syndergaard, Madison Bumgarner and David Price headlining the group. Last night we saw most of the top pitching options completely fall apart but tonight sets up to be a compete 180 so be ready. We are going to need to find the proper bats to fit in with these elite level arms in order to get across those pay lines tonight.
