In case you didn't play yesterday, and I wouldn't have blamed you after a small seven game slate, you may have missed a couple of players that have changed position on FanDuel. Matt Carpenter, who was removed from last night's game late due to a finger injury is now listed at second base where he will be playing most for the Cardinals going forward. The other change was Jhonny Peralta who takes over Carpenter's old position at third base.
Today's playbook was one of the easiest I have written in quite some time. There are clear targets all over the place and also quite a few situations to absolutely avoid. You might think that with all full 15 game slates this would occur but I assure you that it does not. Tonight we want to be invested in several spots. Yes, Coors Field is obviously one of those spots where we have a a clear target in left handed hitters against the woeful Andrew Cashner. Chase Field is also a prime target tonight where we have a couple of southpaws dueling it out and several lefty killers in each lineup. Both the Yankees and the Tigers have been red hot with the bats and each once again presents massive upside in tonight's matchup. Many will be on the Reds also tonight who have been slugging the hell out of the baseball over the last 11 days. Finally, don't foget about those Red Sox who just so happen to have the best lineup in baseball. They were held down a bit by a good Giants staff but will likely feast off a horrible Twins pitching staff.
Speaking of the Red Sox and Twins game, that is the only place with weather concerns tonight. Therew will be thunderstorms in Minnesota before the game and Target Field is supposed to get rain for sure. Then there is a 50% chance of pop up storms around the stadium during the first two hours. This one could get called or have a delay so be careful with rostering anybody here tonight. Oh and you will notice that I dropped my boy Steven Wright out of the Playbook tonight as a result of the weather. His lone bad start this season was in wet and rainy conditions and I just don't trust the knuckleball in the rain.
