So here is how this is going to work. Since there are only three early games we are (unfortunately) ignoring those games for the purpose of the DFS MLB Playbook, Rankings & Optimal Lineups today. If you are playing that early slate for starters you have issues and should see a doctor. Having said that, I love Noah Syndergaard, Curtis Granderson, Carlos Santana and Colby Rasmus in the early games.

What an opening to the MLB season that was, right? Let's see, Two games cancelled, another with delays all of the way through, Two starting pitchers who come down with illness, one who tries to pitch through it and the other who is scratched. A DFS site (DraftKings) electing to simply push the start of their early game slate back in order to save devastating overlay. That was one for the ages folks. The good news is that it can only get easier from here. Based on my bankroll and the messages on the Playbook PRO Optimal Lineups page most of you cashed yesterday despite all of the disruptions and that makes me real happy. This is just the start of what is going to be a very big season my friends.

Today pitching absolutely stinks. Not only are we drained of any ace starters, the secondary arms on the slate tonight are just kind of ho-hum. The three to select from come down to Johnny Cueto, Justin Verlander and Scott Kazmir. Sure, Michael Wacha, Shelby Miller and Aaron Sanchez are all intriguing also but I am not comfortable using any of them other than on a two pitcher site.

The good news is that we are able to pay up for any of the big mashers that we want today. I am not going to have any shares of Giancarlo Stanton today though I will be on him plenty this season. I am going back to the Nelson Cruz well tonight as his lifetime numbers against lefties are just too good to ignore. His let down yesterday should drive enough people away that I can get him at a real good ownership rate. The biggest surprise to me yesterday was that Trevor Story was only 1-3% owned in all of my contests across the board. Luckily for me (and all of you who ready the DFS Playbook) we had enough Story shares to pay off handily. We won't be that lucky again tonight and thus I am feeling like Story is a must fade guy.

Anyways, let's get to the players for tonight's games. Here is the DFS MLB Playbook for Tuesday April 5th:
