Hello again, friends. I hope that everybody had a glorioius Thursday no matter what slate you played. I had a fun time riding early success in both slates to the top of a FanDuel (early) then Draft Kings (late) qualifiers only to see them both get flushed down the drain by a barrage of late scoring. If you play DFS MLB every day like me you might want to invest in a good cardiologist because this pressure takes its toll.
Moving on, tonight is a big night in DFS across the industry. We finally have just a simple all-in-one evening slate which is the way our forefathers always wanted us to play DFS MLB. The pitching however is full of landmines that are destined to blow up lineups all over the spectrum tonight. I am intrigued by about seven of the names here but have settled in on the most expensive names unfortunately. Betweem Felix Hernandez, Adam Wainwright and Matt Harvey, at least one of them are destined to implode this evening. Yet, they are all in real good spots against garbage opponents. The way I think about it is like this. Do you think that every start for these three will be bad all year long? If you do then you are either new to baseball or just acting a fool. These are the types of games where these pitchers make their dough and we need to be brave enough to see that forest beyond the trees.
Coors Field is back in the picture which of course makes selecting hitters quite interesting once again. It appears as though Draft Kings completely took off their Coors Field premium pricing and thus there will be extremely high ownership of Dodgers and Rockies tonight. I love this because there are also a few other games I think could rival that of Coors. Those games are the Pirates/Diamondbacks, Red Sox/Astros and Orioles/Royals. Get some Coors exposure if it makes you feel warm and comfy but I wouldn't overexpose in GPP's tonight.
We also have some weather concerns to keep in mind throughout the day too. The Twins/Nationals has a 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the DC area tonight. The Rays/Yankees have a 30% chance at thunderstorms early in the evening, the Cubs/Reds have a very good chance at seeing rain early on though things look like they will clear up in Cincinnti later on and the Mets/Braves will have thunderstorms in the area during the early portion of the game. PLEASE CHECK OUR LINEUPS PAGE (http://www.fantasyalarm.com/lineups/mlb) for updates on weather and lineup information throughout the day.
