Happy 4-20 all of you stoners! Yeah, I know you are there by the tufts of smoke and low belly laughing I can hear all the way from my desk.
Today's Playbook is choosing to bypass the early games here on Wednesday and instead focus only on where the money is in the evening slate of games. By saying the "Playbook" is choosing this I of course mean me. If I were playing the early games I would be all over Chris Sale and Carlos Martinez as my starters with Danny Salazar coming in a close third. I would also use a lot of Reds bats against Chad Bettis and Rockies against Raisel Iglesias. Matt Holliday is also an amazing value against Kyle Hendricks who he has owned going 6-10 (.600) with 2 HR's in his career.
For those of us who are focusing on the evening slate it is quite the bummer that we don't have nearly as much starting pitching talent as the early games do. I am going to be rolling with Bumgarner in my cash games though and then using a variet of cheaper options none of which make me a proud human being. Then again, I did roster Hector Santiago the other night and rode him to quite a windfall so you have to do what you have to do in this game. An intereting note tonight is that there is rain expected in the Milwaukee area which means that the Miller Park dome will be closed. When this dome is closed the runs pile up and with two below average arms on the mound, this is a game I will be heavily invested in.
