It's the annual Patriots Day game at Fenway Park today and thus if you want to play the full day slate of DFS, you are going to have to get up early. For the purposes of the Playbook today I have included some plays from that game but not very many. Personally, I am going to be only playing the late slate of seven games which is quite a light day to say the least. Because I like and have more success in larger slates, I am going to treat today as a tournament day. I will be going heavy on GPP's and qualifiers tonight as I try to reach for the big score. You will notice some of the choices here to be more aggressive than normal and that is your reason why.
For those of you that have been struggling recently, I do think that sticking with cash games (50/50's specifically) are the the to go regardless. Playing in tournamnets need to be a treat for you after winning and because it is simply not a sustainable model of winning money. Noah Syndergaard is without question my cash game choice today and I will also be building my GPP lineups around him as well.There is nothing wrong with Jose Fernandez either of course but with how hot Bryce Harper is currently, I am not wanting to take the risk when Syndergaard is on the board against the Phillies.
The Rockies/Reds game appears to be the one to get a piece of tonight. These are two awful pitchers going at it in the most hitter friendly ballpark on the slate. I am waiting to see the Umpire Report tonight but if it is a favorable ump, I could be going real hard at this game. Both Hector Santiago and John Lackey are going up against their former teams tonight. Both are in good spots and I am tempted to use them (leaning toward Santiago) tongiht but there is risk in doing so. On the flip side, there are catchers who are very familiar with former pitchers in Yadier Molina (Lackey) and Geovany Soto (Carlos Rodon). I love to target catchers going up against pitchers that they are very familiar with.
