This the playbook for the Saturday slate of games. It does cover the whole slate so if you are looking for an additional plays please check out the rankings page, the hitting coach and the pitching coach. There will be lineups for both the early and late slates posted.
There are quite a few big name pitchers going on Saturday. A few of those stud pitchers either have some tough match-ups or have not been throwing the ball that well. It is clear cut on the top pitchers are on each slate but the secondary choice is where things maybe a bit interesting. It is going to be tough to pay up for the high priced bats but there are some very nice mid tier bats to choose from including the red hot Mark Trumbo and the locked in Albert Pujols.
With regard to the catcher position, there are some decent options if certain guys are in the lineup. I don't think many of my favorites are going to be in the lineup so they are listed in the rankings but not in the playbook. Brian McCann, Chris Iannetta and Miguel Montero would all be decent options if they start but it doesn't appear that they will.
The rest of the positinos all have some solid minus the garbage that sits at shortstop. This is going to be a good place to save some salary.
