It was a very up and down day yesterday for the Playbook as we were able to identify a few of the top players last night in Nolan Arenado, Carlos Gonzalez, Jonathan LuCroy and Chris Davis. But the pitching outside of Carlos Carrasco was a major disappointment and caused some late night sweats for many of us I am sure.

Today we get a split slate on a getaway day across MLB where we have a total of 12 games with seven of them being in the early slate and just five in the evening slate of games. This DFS MLB Playbook will combine each slate and give you the best plays for the enitre day. If you are looking for a more detailed information for each slate, consider our DFS MLB Rankings, Hitting Coach, Pitching Coach or Optimal Lineups which will have more breakdown based on each set of games you are looking for.

The top two pitchers today are unfortunately going against one another in Chris Archer and Danny Salazar. If you are playing cash games I am comfortable enough with either of these guys or combining them on a two pitcher site like Draft Kings or Fantasy Aces. Despite his huge letdown last night I am once again on the Bryce Harper train. This time I brought the BvP spell along with me to help get him to stop trying to bunt (what the HELL was that BTW?).

Remember that if you have questions throughout the day you can hit me up directly on Twitter (@Jeff_Mans) or leave your comments below. Here is the DFS MLB Playbook for Thursday April 14th:
