Happy Friday, once again. We’ve got a nice full slate for you today, though I will say, unless you play the “all-day” slate, you’re missing out on the top pitching option. Not that there’s anything wrong with that since we do have a number of solid options for a more cost-effective pivot. So let’s just get right to it and see.

Jake Arrieta, CHC – He’s the best pitcher on the board and the Pirates have a disgusting .244 wOBA over the last seven days that comes with a .108 ISO and a 23.4-percent strikeout rate. ‘Nuff said.

Chris Archer, TB – He still isn’t in vintage Archer form (if that’s really a thing), but three quality starts in his last four outings and the Giants aren’t showing any kind of power lately with a .108 ISO over the last week. The rest of the numbers against righties are fairly pedestrian, so I like Archer’s chances of a solid game. Strikeouts may not be as high as we’d like but still a good showing.

Masahiro Tanaka, NYY – If he can get some run support, Tanaka makes for a solid play against a Twins team that has a .280 wOBA and a 20-percent strikeout rate over the past week. Not to mention their 22nd-ranked .305 wOBA with a 22.3-percent K-rate against righties all year.

Jose Quintana, CHW – Big fan of Q today as the Tribe struggle against lefties (.313 wOBA ranks 22nd) and they’ve posted just a .294 wOBA with a sad .670 OPS over the last week.

Lance McCullers, HOU – Here’s the rebound for McCullers as the Reds are sitting on a .265 wOBA for the past week with a pathetic .090 ISO and 23.2-percent strikeout rate over the last seven days.

Matt Harvey, NYM – The Braves have hit better over the last week, but come on folks…they’re still the same sad sack team no matter how many times Freddie Freeman hits for the cycle. Let’s regale in the fact that they still have just a .286 wOBA against righties this season with a .102 ISO.

Joe Ross, WAS – The only team worse than the Braves against righties this season is the Padres. They’ve got a .278 wOBA all year which comes with a .643 OPS and 24.1-percent strikeout rate.

How about some darts…?

Robbie Ray, PHI – He’ll have to watch the right-handed bats, but the Phillies have a .261 wOBA with a 23.6-percent K-rate against southpaws this season and have posted just a .270 wOBA with a 24.4-percent strikeout rate over the past seven days.

Pat Dean, MIN – He’ll have to hope the Twins bats get to Tanaka a little, but overall against southpaws, the Yankees have just a .299 wOBA on the year. And over the last seven days, they’ve posted a .276 wOBA with a feeble .071 ISO over the past week.
