Welcome to the 2015 Fantasy Baseball Season with Fantasy Alarm. Strap in, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.
Each Monday through Friday I'll be sending out the Daily Trends piece to those of you who - smartly - signed up for the Assistant GM package (more on that below if you haven't signed up yet). That's right, every day, right to your mailbox. What will the Daily Trends piece include? We're taking what we did last year, changing it up, improving things, and hoping to come up with something that hits the sweet spot of what you need to dominate in fantasy baseball in 2015.
* There will be a DFS section each day where I listed a player at each position for the day. I'll also highlight three arms as well.
* I'll report on any minor league call ups that you need to know about.
* If there's an injury, and we know there always are, I'll break it down and let you know what the fantasy implications are.
* Are there any trends you need to know about? Some batter hitting .390 the past two weeks? Is there a surging starting pitcher who is 4-0 in his last five outings? I'm all over that to make sure you know who to target off waivers or in trades.
* I'll just ramble on my thoughts on key players. That's where some of my best stuff comes anyway.
So look for that Daily Trends column to really kick off next Monday, April 6th.
Until then, some other things of note...
(1) The Player Rankings will be updated one last time on April 6th. Note that as an Assistant GM member you will have access to updated rankings each month, on the first of the month. That means May 1st, June 1st etc... we will update the rankings for the rest of the season.
(2) Our Player News Page is second to none. No one does it better than our crew. There's an injury, or big performance, and we're on it quicker than anyone to report it. That's not hyperbole. No one gets to the news quicker than we do.
(3) If you want to know who is in the lineup each day, we've got you covered with our Lineups page.
(4) We've got depth charts so you can keep track of how each team is dealing with each position.
(5) We've got The Closer Grid that is updated on a daily basis by Howard Bender.
(6) You want daily projections? That's right, we have projection for every day of the MLB season. Who offers you that? Fantasy Alarm does.
(7) You can see me and Jeff Mans talking baseball every day. Yep, I used that work correctly. You can see us in the Fantasy Alarm video section.
(8) And don't forget our DFS MLB Playbook. You want to win at daily fantasy baseball then this is the tool for you.
As you can see, we've got oodles of data & commentary for you at Fantasy Alarm for 2015. I haven't even mentioned all the great articles we've got coming with things like Injury Reports, Waiver-Wire articles (I will be writing two waiver-wire pieces today actually, another bonus for those of you who have a waiver period running this weekend), Bullpen Reports, 2-Start Pitcher Report, Farm Reports, Pitching Reports and Category Impacts.
There's more coming but that should be enough to wet your whistle, to start your engines if you will. Warm up that engine and get those tries ready to grip the pavement as we speed down the track with you to fantasy success.
Here's to doing in 2015 what we say around the water cooler every day at Fantasy Alarm...
