Clarke Schmidt Chalkboard Fantasy MLB Pick: More Than 2.5 Strikeouts (1.10x)

SPECIAL PICK – Let’s take full advantage of all the “free” picks they’re going to give us and that starts here with Schmidt going over 2.5 strikeouts for the day. He’s had no fewer than four in each of his last four starts and even though the Mets have only a 20.4-percent strikeout rate against righties, I’m pretty sure Schmidt can fan at least three of them. Take the pick and run!

 

 

 

Gunnar Henderson Chalkboard Fantasy MLB Pick: More Than 1.5 Total Bases (1.74x)

He’s one of my favorite plays of the day as I have little to no confidence that Nationals righty Jake Irvin can keep his bat in check. Henderson is batting .323 with a .413 wOBA against righthanded pitching and with his HRR line is bumped up to 2.5, we’ll take a slightly safer play with his total bases. After all, 14 of his 16 extra-bae hits this year have all come against righthanded pitching and Irvin is allowing a .359 wOBA to lefthanded hitters and 14 of the 18 extra-base hits he’s allowed have come from lefties. Giddy up!
