White Sox vs. Red Sox Predictions: August 6th

The Battle of the Sox wraps up tonight at Fenway Park and the home team finds themselves on the verge of another sweep. They will have the upper hand with Luis Castillo starting for the White Sox in his Chicago debut but how will it affect the betting? Let's get into this matchup. 

The Red Sox over the past two weeks have the highest isolated power mark in MLB at .201. On top of that they have a team BABIP of .304 and a wOBA of .352. Their one issue is strikeouts at 22.8% over the two week time frame but lucky for them Castillo has lost the gas. 

Over his last four starts Castillo gave up 29 hits, 14 earned runs and sevens home runs to hitters in 23 innings pitched. The lefties are what do him in as they've hit .286 with a .890 OPS this season and 13 of the 16 homers he's allowed. That's where the wager comes into play as Wilyer Abreu, the Boston left handed hitting outfielder is hitting .348 with a 1.444 OPS over the past week of games. We are going to ride the hot bat tonight and take the over on his hits/runs/RBIs.

On top of that the over is very appealing as well with both offenses seeing the ball well right now. There have been 20 total runs scored in the opening pair of games in this series, not crazy to expect over nine runs in this one tonight.
