When Wheeler faced Miami earlier this season, he racked up eight strikeouts, and in his two prior starts against the Marlins, he recorded seven and 13 strikeouts. So, while you’ll see that he had just five punch-outs most recently, the Toronto Blue Jays are one of the toughest lineups for big K numbers. So, we’re still more than comfortable starting our MLB best bets today with Zack Wheeler over 6.5 strikeouts (+116 at Novig).

🔥 Padres vs. Cardinals Best Bet: Dustin May Over 4.5 K's (-127 at Novig)

We’re going to stick with the most popular pitcher market and go with a guy facing a team that Wheeler faced just two starts ago; the Phillies ace had eight strikeouts in that game. Now we need just five from Dustin May, and that alone is valuable enough to make it part of our MLB best bets today, given his recent stretch.

He’s not a starter that we generally love to target for K's, but we simply can’t ignore how he’s looked over the past month. In May’s last four starts, he’s had six, seven and nine strikeouts twice.
