MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 9/27

Texas Rangers vs. Cleveland Guardians Predictions

I am back to the well today on the Guardians grind as they did lose last night but the matchup today is screaming game total to me. Joey Cantillo vs. Jacob Latz on the mound today so let’s dive into the matchup!

Starting with Cantillo he has had an awesome September for Cleveland sporting a 1.16 ERA through four starts and through those 23.1 innings he has allowed just 17 hits, six walks and has 20 strikeouts! His numbers should remain well off as the Rangers over the past week have a team BABIP of .230, with an isolated power mark of .107 which is second-to-last in the majors. 

On the other end, it seems the Rangers are going with a bullpen game and that should also keep the scores down as their group has an ERA of 3.58 on the season which is the fifth-best in MLB! The Guardians offense is also not known for popping off with just 17 runs scored over the past five games. I think Cleveland wins the game needing it to win the division, but the odds just aren’t there. So instead, I will take the under on 7.5 runs in this matchup tonight.
