🏒 MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 3/30

We mentioned walk-offs galore, as Saturday alone provided five of them, plus other extra-inning action! We’ve also been able to make the most of the start of the season with not only our MLB best bets today, but also our overall MLB expert picks.

As for today’s slate, it’s rare that a Monday features all 30 teams on the diamond, but with the season still less than a week in, that’s exactly what we get to enjoy. Another factor that we need to keep in mind with the season being only a few days old is that no team is deep enough into the rotation for us to be making MLB best bets today with aces back on the mound.

So, perhaps that means some overs could be in play. A few of the series that we’re most intrigued by are Pirates vs. Reds and Athletics vs. Braves. The former means MLB picks on an NL Central rivalry, and although it doesn’t feature Paul Skenes, it is on FS1 and a game in which we could see plenty of runs scored in hitter-friendly Cincinnati.

Similarly, the action in Atlanta nearly made the cut for our MLB predictions, as plenty of runs could be scored there as well. Despite the A’s not even having a true home and seemingly every fan overlooking them, they can certainly get some production from their lineup.

🔥 Rangers vs. Orioles Prediction: Texas Money Line (+111 at Novig)

We aren’t going to make you wait long, as we’re backing a slight road favorite in the first game following the featured ESPN matchup. The Orioles were able to win their first series of the season and even get to remain at home, but we aren’t willing to trust Chris Bassitt against the Rangers with our MLB best bets today.

The former Toronto Blue Jay swapped AL East teams this year, so we haven’t seen him pitch for Baltimore, but Texas’ lineup has some solid matchups against him (he also pitched for the A’s). Joc Pederson even has a remarkable 1.783 OPS against Bassitt. Texas also won their opening series, and we’ve got the Rangers ML (+111 at Novig) as part of our MLB best bets today.

🔥 Tigers vs Diamondbacks Prediction: Arizona Money Line (-110 at Novig)

We’re going to keep things just as simple with another one of our favorite MLB picks today, but with the nightcap. So, let’s get a cash early in Baltimore and then in the desert to close things out by backing the home team this time. Arizona’s taking on Justin Verlander, so why on Earth are they part of our MLB best bets today?

As incredible a career as he’s had, Verlander is still 43 years old, and like the Rangers, the Diamondbacks have some advantageous matchups. They have three guys - Nolan Arenado, Corbin Carroll, and Carlos Santana, all with slugging percentages of .593 or better vs. Verlander.
