Best MLB Stolen Base Picks Today:

Locking in the best stolen base predictions means finding the absolute perfect storm of a high-on-base runner and a weak battery. Without further ado, here are our top MLB stolen base picks today for Sunday, October 4th:

Favorite Bets:

Ronald Acuna, Atlanta Braves (+509)

The Braves limited Acuna Jr. on the base paths in the second half of the season in an effort to try to keep him healthy, but now that we’re in October, the limitations are out the window. It’s time to do whatever it takes to win, and he stole two bases in a game against Philly on September 30. Blake Snell had the second-highest stolen base attempt rate against in the regular season (4.7%), and his battery mate today, Will Smith, had a 17% caught stealing rate in the regular season (league mark was 21%).

Jackson Chourio, Milwaukee Brewers (+445)

Before the All-Star break, Chourio had nine stolen base attempts in 62 games, good for an attempt every 6.9 games. After the All-Star break, he logged 19 stolen base attempts in 65 games, good for one attempt every 3.4 games. He has a career .353 OBP in the postseason, and he closed out the regular season with six stolen bases and a .436 OBP across his final 10 games. Michael King actually has one of the better caught stealing rates when he’s on the mound, but his likely battery mate today, Ethan Salas, has yet to catch a runner stealing in 2026.
