That means everything from their basic righty/lefty splits to advanced metrics like expected ISO allowed.

Similarly, we consider everything for the hitters actually cashing MLB home run predictions. This means the values mentioned above, their barrel rates, hard-hit rates, average exit velocities, pitch type preferences, and more. With that combination comes the consideration of bullpens as well. It’s all taken into account for the MLB home run picks that we’ll break down fully below!

Dominic Canzone (+383)

You already knew what was coming - Tomoyuki Sugano, the Colorado Rockies bullpen and Coors Field. The ultimate trifecta was SUPPOSED to be back on the menu, but apparently the team has finally realized what we’ve been targeting all season. Even still, an undecided starter is still great news for MLB home run picks, and no one in Colorado scares us.

Are we going to see the return of Jose Quintana after missing four months? We’ll have to see, and when it comes to the Seattle Mariners, we know they can be inconsistent, but they also have some powerful targets. One of which let us down last night, but if it’s Quintana, he allowed an unreal amount of power to fellow lefties when healthy this season.

It’s not the biggest sample size, but a colossal .438 ISO allowed to southpaws just can’t be ignored. So, we’re still doubling down and again leading off our best MLB home run picks for today with Dominic Canzone hitting a HR (+383 at DraftKings). 

James Wood (+452)

Is Busch Stadium in St. Louis the same as Coors Field? Nope, and frankly, it generally isn’t a spot we go out of our way to target. However, Michael McGreevy is, and that’s who will be on the mound tonight for the Cards. With the righty toeing the rubber for the home team, that’s great news for MLB home run picks.

Specifically, it’s great news for lefties to hit dingers. McGreevy’s regression has been in full swing for a little while now, and that has translated to a .219 ISO to southpaws; that’s more than enough power to leave the yard in STL. Facing the Washington Nationals lineup is also ideal, and the only issue is deciding between their two big lefty options.

You know that we love CJ Abrams as well, but we’re rolling with James Wood hitting a HR (+452 at DraftKings) as part of our top MLB home run picks today.

Seiya Suzuki (+388)

Pete Crow-Armstrong is ALWAYS a good candidate for dingers, even if he did end last night’s game with a strikeout. He’s going to win the NL MVP, and we won’t doubt him in any situation, but we’re going to provide you with more value and with where the numbers lead us. Firstly, we love the Great American Ball Park when it comes to MLB home run picks.

We also love the Cincinnati Reds bullpen, and on top of that combo, lefty Nick Lodolo is why we’re rolling with a righty instead. He’s allowed a .238 ISO to such hitters - much more power than his .134 expected ISO to fellow lefties. We’ll admit that we haven’t seen him homer in quite some time, but he’s still a .302 vs. lefties this season (better than PCA)!

That includes a .543 slugging percentage and .240 ISO, so we love the drought to end; we’re adding to our best MLB home run picks for today with Seiya Suzuki hitting a HR (20.5%, so +388, at Novig).
