Top Tier

Robbie Ray, SP TOR - Ray has been lights out of late, posting a 1.78 ERA over his last 10 games with 83 strikeouts over 65.2 innings. Over his last three games his strikeout totals have been 10, 14 and 11. Love the upside here in this matchup against Oakland.

Corbin Burnes. SP MIL - Burnes has dominated the Cardinals this season, posting a 0.53 ERA over three starts, allowing just one earned run over 17 innings while striking out 21 which include a six inning shutout performance in mid-August. Hard not to love this track record.

Mid-Tier

Luis Patiño, SP TB - Consecutive strong starts for Patino, having allowed just three runs while striking out 10 over 11.2 innings. He recently had a three inning stint against the Twins and allowed two runs on two hits but also had five walks that did him in. With better control, which he displayed in his last two starts, I think we get a much better outing.

Luis Castillo, SP CIN - The matchup on paper looks good with the Tigers being a low average, high strikeout lineup. The issue is the game being played in a very favorable hitters ballpark and the Tigers offense has been good this series. On the plus side, Castillo does have a 3.57 ERA at home compared to a 5.07 ERA on the road. GPP only play.

Value Tier

Taijuan Walker, SP NYM - It has been a very up and down stretch for Walker, posting a 6.08 ERA over his last 10 games but in two of his last three starts he held opponents to just one run over six innings. In two starts against the Nationals he has a 2.70 ERA over 13.1 innings.
