Top Tier
Tyler Mahle, SP CIN - Great matchup here against the Marlins and Mahle has been absolute nails on the road this season, posting a 1.84 ERA while striking out 90 over 78.1 innings. He will be the top owned pitcher on the slate.
Zack Greinke, SP HOU - The lack of strikeout upside is worrisome but the matchup against the Rangers is one to target here with Greinke. The Astros are big favorites and in three starts against Texas this season Greinke is 3-0 while averaging 17.6 DK points per start.
José BerrÃos, SP TOR - On paper this is a good matchup for Berrios as the Tigers lineup against RHP is not nearly as good as it is against LHP. The Tigers are a high strikeout which is the appeal, but Berrios has been a bit up and down of late, and has had mixed results against Detroit this season.
Mid-Tier
Tanner Houck, SP BOS - Houck is a high strikeout pitcher but the Red Sox have been pretty consistent with limiting him to only a few times through the order. This may change today given the recent bullpen usage in this series. Either way, Boston is a favorite to win so we could easily get a 5 innings 8 strikeout performance with a win.
Ian Anderson, SP ATL - Not the greatest matchup here with the Giants offense running good right now but this is a decent price tag for Anderson who had been pitching well outside of his last start. If looking for a lower owned mid-tier play he has the upside and a decent offense behind him.
Value Tier
Ranger Suárez, SP PHI - Suarez had his best outing so far in his last start, pitching 6.2 innings against the Rays, allowing one run while striking out seven. The Diamondbacks have hit lefties well this season so this won't be the easiest of spots but of all the value plays he feels like the one with the most upside.
