Top Tier
Zack Wheeler, PHI - The man is money right now, coming off a complete game shutout in his last outing. The Reds do have some hot hitters in Joey Votto and Jesse Winker but there is also a lot of strikeout upside for Wheeler in this matchup which makes facing the Reds appealing in GPPs.
Robbie Ray, TOR - The Blue Jays are heavy favorites tonight which is great for the win upside for Ray here. He has also pitched really well of late, allowing just three runs over his last 18 innings while striking out 17. The Mariners have been a pesky team at times this season but Ray has that elite strikeout upside and this Mariners lineup really isn't that good.
Mid Tier
Charlie Morton, ATL - Morton has faced the Nationals twice this season and in those two starts he is 1-0 with a 2.46 ERA while averaging 20.2 DK points. He just faced this team in his last start and tossed six shutout innings with seven strikeouts.
Jack Flaherty, STL - Flaherty will be making his first start since May 31st as he comes off the IL. He should pitch deep enough in today's game to make him fantasy viable after reaching 75 pitchers during his last rehab outing. Before being injured, Flaherty was dominant, going 8-1 with a 2.90 ERA.
Nick Pivetta, BOS - Complete dart throw here. Pivetta tossed six innings of one hit baseball in his last start which came against the Blue Jays. The Orioles have some decent hitters, especially leadoff man Cedric Mullins but largely they are a team that does better against left-handed pitching. He has faced the O's twice this season, going 2-0 but with less than inspiring numbers as he is averaging three runs over six innings with 4.5 strikeouts.
Value Tier
Tyler Mahle, CIN - This is a tough draw for Mahle as he goes up against Zack Wheeler tonight but this is the spot you want for Mahle as he owns a 2.06 ERA on the road this season with 75 strikeouts over 65.2 innings. If you want to go contrarian, this would be the spot with his high strikeout upside and going up against the top priced starter on the slate.
