All Sites

TJ Friedl, OF CIN ($2,100 FD/$2,100 DK/$14 Yahoo) - Pittsburgh’s Mitch Keller has always struggled with lefties, and that’s been the case yet again in 2021. Left-handed hitters have hit Keller at a .351 clip with a .394 wOBA and OPS over .900. Friedl has a .318 batting average and .372 wOBA against right-handers this season. Enough said.

Wil Myers, OF SD ($2,300 FD/$3,100 DK/$7 Yahoo) - Myers is 3-for-6 with a home run in his career against Logan Webb. Myers has a .433 slugging percentage against right-handers in 2021, and he is hitting .333 over the last week with an .867 OPS. Also, the veteran slugger has a .417 slugging percentage against San Francisco pitching this season.

Sam Hilliard, OF  COL ($2,300 FD/$2,200 DK/$15 Y) - Humberto Mejía has an ERA north of 12.00 at home this season, and lefties have absolutely demolished him this season. How does a .389 batting average and 1.327 OPS sound? Hilliard has three home runs in 25 at-bats against Arizona this season, and he has an .872 OPS over the last month. He’s hit safely in four straight, including homering in back-to-back contests.

Yahoo!

Anthony Rizzo, 1B NYY ($14 Y) - If you want impressive BvP numbers, you’ve come to the right place. In his career against Micahel Wacha, Rizzo is 21-for-46 with three home runs. Twenty-one hits in 46 at-bats is good for a .457 batting average. Yeah, that’s pretty good. Enough said.

Austin Meadows, OF TB ($3,100 FD/$13 Yahoo) - While Jameson Taillon has been better at home this season, that won’t stop me from playing Meadows today. Taillon has a 6.52 ERA in two starts against the Rays, and Meadows is 3-for-6 with two home runs in his career against the New York right-hander. Meadows has a 1.113 OPS against New York pitching this season, and he has a .967 OPS at Yankee Stadium.

FanDuel

Austin Hays, OF BAL ($3,100 FD) - Hays is 5-for-13 with a home run in his career against Hyun Jin Ryu, which you love to see. Furthermore, Hays should be under consideration for your lineup(s) whenever a lefty is on the mound. Against southpaws in 2021, Hays is hitting .311 with a .902 OPS. Hays has a .290 batting average against Toronto pitching this season to go along with a .464 slugging percentage and .779 OPS.

Ryan McMahon, 2B/3B COL ($3,100 FD) - Humberto Mejía’s ERA is higher than the amount of points a touchdown is worth. Let that sink in. Left-handers are hitting .389 with a 1.327 OPS against him! Well, this game is in Arizona, so Mejia should be more comfortable at home. FALSE! In two starts at home this season, Mejia has a 12.15 ERA. THAT’S TWO TOUCHDOWNS WORTH! McMahon has an .832 OPS against righties this season, and he’s sporting a .348 batting average and .638 slugging percentage against Arizona in 2021.

DraftKings

Oneil Cruz, SS PIT ($2,000 DK) - Cruz logged two hits and one RBI in his debut and at minimum price on DraftKings, let’s ride the momentum here in the finale! Cruz had a .310 batting average with a .970 OPS in the minors before getting the call. He’s facing a lefty today, and in the minors against southpaws, Cruz hit .328 with an .816 OPS. For the minimum price, let’s go for it.

Rafael Ortega, OF CHC ($3,000 FD/$2,800 DK) - Save the best for last, huh? I don’t want to downplay this, but Ortega just might be my favorite play on the entire slate. Ortega has three hits in four at-bats against St. Louis’ Jake Woodford and the Cardinals’ righty has allowed a .319 batting average and .367 wOBA to left-handed hitters. Ortega has hit righties at a .321 clip this season, and over the last week, Ortega is hitting .474 with a 1.300 OPS. Fire him up today and don’t look back.
