The initial rankings that come out on Thursday are mainly based on track history and momentum (later in the season) but as the week goes on, the rankings will be updated based on on-track performance or lack thereof and qualifying positions. Just because a guy is in the rankings, won't always mean they make the final playbook or example lineups as it depends on the news of the week or how the feeling around them changes.
