Panthers signed QB P.J. Walker, formerly of the XFL's Houston Roughnecks, to a two-year contract.
Walker is reunited with his college coach Matt Rhule. Through five weeks Walker led the XFL in both passing yards (1,338) and touchdowns (15). He also racked up another 99 yards and a score on the ground. These counting stats alone didn't do Walker justice, as his rate of 0.38 broken tackles per touch was the third-highest mark among 52 players with at least 10 combined carries and receptions. Walker balled out *in style* for the duration of the XFL season and earned this NFL opportunity. He'll battle with Kyle Allen to serve as Teddy Bridgewater's backup. Mar 23 11:06 am (EST)
