2024 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Jimenez’s first year in Atlanta went quite well in 2023 with a 3.04 ERA (3.59 FIP, 3.02 SIERA) — a career-best — over 56.1 innings out of the pen. Not only was he quite good at striking batters out, 30.7-percent K-rate, but he also posted one of his best BB/9 rates (2.24) of his career as well. That combo led him to posting his most Holds in a year (13) since 2019.

2024 Outlook: There’s not much to suggest numbers will be drastically different in 2024. The Holds total is repeatable though don’t expect the ERA to repeat. Jimenez likely falls back into the mid-3.00s range for ERA while keeping a similar strikeout, walk, and contact rate. He’s only valuable in leagues that count Holds though.
