2023 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Operating in a reserve role for the Reds in 2023, Fairchil hit five home runs, stole 10 bases and posted an 89 wRC+ across 219 at-bats. His minor league numbers have never jumped off the page, and his batted ball metrics last year were a bit underwhelming. One could argue his strikeout rate should have been worse, given that he whiffs a lot, and he's posted a sub-par contact rate at the big-league level.
2024 Outlook: He'll play on the smaller side of a platoon in the Cincy outfield this season, and even with regular at-bats, he's a marginal fantasy asset at best. He shouldn't be on the fantasy radar to begin the 2024 season.
