2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: When are we going to have to stop wondering on his injuries? At this point he’s basically the NL equivalent of Byron Buxton. In 2023 he managed the second-most games in a season so far, 97, while switching to playing centerfield full-time. It was however, a productive 2/3 of a season with 19 HR, 51 RBI, 50 R, and 22 SB while posting a .250/.304/.457 slash line. The counting stats are great for only a partial season, but the slash line needed help, though Chisholm did outperform his xBA and xSLG. 

2024 Outlook: The main thing for Chisholm has always been whether or not he can or, more aptly, will stay healthy. When he’s on the field he’s clearly a weapon in a few different facets who is capable of putting up 30-30 seasons. The question you have to ask yourself, as has been the case with Buxton, is how risk averse are you? We know he’s playing a max of 130 games which could be spectacular, however if he only gets to 60 games, like in 2022, you’ll spend the season chasing value.
