MMA DFS Playbook for UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs Nolan
Main Event
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
| Renato Moicano vs Tom Nolan | 8000/8200 | - | Stackability: Moderate | -122/+102 | |
| This lightweight matchup is a perfect stylistic clash. Moicano should look to get this fight to the ground, and he has a clear advantage. If he gets this fight to the ground and Nolan’s suspect chin comes out, this could be a quick fight. I’m backing Moicano to win this fight by submission. | |||||
Expensive Fighters
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
| Lucia Szabova | 9600 | Tainara Lisboa | Somewhat-Safe | -700 | -300 |
| She has high upside to finish, she will look to mix in some grappling. Once Lisboa slows, this fight is all Szabova’s. | |||||
| Joe Kropschot | 9300 | Nick Klein | Somewhat-Safe | -325 | -200 |
| Kropschot is going to find the finish at some point, but he is very green, so this isn’t a guarantee. This is a week with a lot of questionable high priced plays. | |||||
| Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani | 9200 | Farman Hasanov | Somewhat-Safe | -298 | -250 |
| Lebosnoyani is another highly volatile fighter that is likely to win by finish. He has to win by KO to payoff his price. | |||||
| Zachary Reese | 9100 | Mickey Gall | Moderate | -310 | 200 |
| Reese is bigger, stronger, and has more durability than Gall. If he can get a takedown this fight is over almost immediately. | |||||
| Luana Santos | 8900 | Yana Santos | Moderate | -255 | 180 |
| Her upside is 12 minutes of control time and 100+ strikes. She could look bad in this fight, but if she can get her control game going she dominates this fight. | |||||
Mid-Range Fighters
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
| JeongYeong Lee | 8600 | Julian Erosa | Moderate | -175 | 300 |
| This fight is probably going to lead to someone being on the optimal lineup. Erosa is extremely chinny at times, and though Lee can be low volume he is powerful enough to KO Erosa. | |||||
| Rodrigo Sezinando | 8500 | Theodor Berggren | Moderate | -170 | 220 |
| He is a strong wrestler and has good odds to win this fight. Theodor looks to have been someone who crushed low-level competition on his way to the UFC. | |||||
| Ode’ Osbourne | 8300 | Cody Durden | Somewhat-Risky | -108 | 350 |
| Osbourne has the speed and the reach, but Durden is a menace for the first five minutes. If he wins, it likely will be a round two KO. | |||||
| Cody Durden | 7900 | Ode’ Osbourne | Somewhat-Risky | -112 | 280 |
| Durden has five minutes of offense before he gasses out but he could finish the fight in those five minutes. I like both sides of this fight for DraftKings this week, but not in the same lineup. | |||||
Pay-Down Fighters
Fighter(s) | Price | Opponent | Risk | Odds | ITD |
| Randy Brown | 7400 | Jacobe Smith | Somewhat-Risky | +225 | 400 |
| Smith was wobbled a bit in his last fight, so Brown has more than enough power to end the fight early. If he doesn’t KO Smith, this is likely a drawn-out battle that ends with Brown gassing out. | |||||
| Yana Santos | 7300 | Luana Santos | Risky | +210 | 350 |
| Santos will throw more volume, but she needs to avoid being controlled on the cage. She will score well on DK if she can find the late finish after Luana gasses out. | |||||
| Farman Hasanov | 7200 | Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani | Risky | +240 | 450 |
| He’s durable, but this is another low-level fight. Sometimes just being tougher is more than enough to be able to win the fight. | |||||
| Dakota Hope | 7500 | Francis Marshall | Risky | +200 | 380 |
| Hope has power, but he is wild. He can win by KO but he doesn’t have the technical ability to stay with Marshall on the feet or the ground; there is a chance he just outmuscles Marshall. | |||||
