  • Thomas Petersen by Decision +110:  Petersen is a good wrestler but he doesn’t have the finishing ability that you see from most heavyweights.  This seems like the kind of fight where he clearly dominates the wrestling, but his opponent Don’Tale Mayes is too tough for him to get out of there.  
  • Santiago Ponzinibhio ML -120:  Santiago is an aging veteran but he is taking on Daniel Rodriguez who is aging as well so that shouldn’t be much of a factor.  Ponz seems to still have the fire to compete at a high level while D-Rod almost looks to be coasting and just coming to collect a paycheck.  Ponz can mix in his wrestling as well so I expect him to do that if necessary which gives him a few more outs if he needs them.
  • Cory Sandhagen by KO +450:  Sandhagen is more likely to win a decision in this matchup, but this price seems way off.  He is the much bigger fighter than Figueiredo and his cardio is better as well.  Early on this fight could be close but the longer it goes the more I think Cory has a real chance to end it.  Figueiredo’s power and experience make it so that this happens later on so if you really want to juice up the odds Sandhagen to win in Round 3/4/5 could be even juicier.
