UFC 330: Makhachev vs. Machado Garry takes place this Saturday, August 15, 2026, live from Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The card features two championship fights, along with a mix of established veterans, rising contenders, and exciting prospects. The event will stream live on Paramount+.

Headlining the event is a welterweight championship showdown between reigning champion Islam Makhachev and No. 1 contender Ian Machado Garry. Makhachev enters the fight riding a 16-fight winning streak and looking to successfully defend the welterweight title for the first time. Garry has established himself as one of the division's top contenders and will be looking to become Ireland's next UFC champion.

The matchup presents an intriguing clash of styles. Makhachev is one of the most accomplished grapplers in the UFC and has finished 13 of his 28 career victories by submission. Garry, meanwhile, brings a significant size advantage, technical striking, and strong defensive grappling into the matchup.

The co-main event features a women's strawweight title fight between champion Mackenzie Dern and No. 5 contender Gillian Robertson. The main card also includes Charles Johnson vs. Eduardo Henrique, Mansur Abdul-Malik vs. Dustin Stoltzfus, and Edson Barboza vs. Esteban Ribovics.

Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry

Pick: Islam Makhachev

This fight is a tough one to figure out as they have completely conflicting styles.  Garry needs to keep the fight standing to have any chance, and Islam knows that.  He is going to come out early and often shooting takedowns, and I expect him to win the fight.  I don’t love the odds on this fight, though, so I am actually going to be betting a total.  I think one of these men will find a finish only because Garry didn’t seem to have five-round cardio in the past.

  • Best Bet: Fight Total Under 4.5 Rounds +130

Mackenzie Dern vs. Gillian Robertson

Pick: Mackenzie Dern

Robertson possesses the better wrestling, but Dern has the better submission skills.  The level of competition that Dern has been fighting is much higher than what Robertson has, so it’s tough to compare their successes against recent opponents.  Dern should be able to get this done, and while I don’t love the idea of picking a finish in women’s MMA, I think Dern will have more than enough opportunity to use her world-class level submission skills to find a choke.

Jalin Turner vs Kaue Fernandes

Pick: Jalin Turner

Turner is one of the more powerful and explosive fighters on the roster.  Even in some of the recent losses he has had opponents on the ropes landing knockdowns in almost all of his fights.  He seems to be revitalized and won’t be too careless once he does have his opponent hurt.  Kaue is a decent fighter, but he hasn’t been tested by someone with the speed and power that Turner possesses.
