Silva vs Lopes (Featherweight Main Event)Pick: Lopes to win (Moneyline underdog). I believe Lopes’ grappling and pressure can neutralize Silva’s striking enough to pull off an upset. Silva remains dangerous, but the juice on Lopes is worth the risk.

UFC Noche Predictions & Picks: Saturday, September 13th

Diego Lopes vs Jean Silva

  • Pick: Diego Lopes (ML +200)
  • Why: Silva is an undefeated favorite, but he hasn’t fought five rounds before, and he isn’t as well-rounded as Lopes. If this fight is on the ground, Lopes should be able to dominate it; on the feet, it will be close.  Lopes is more active, so he could win rounds if Silva doesn’t throw enough volume.  

Tatiana Suarez vs Amanda Lemos

  • Pick: Tatiana Suarez by Submission (+130)
  • Why: Suarez is a massive -455 favorite, but she needs the fight on the ground for her to have any advantage.  I don’t love taking such a short line on a submission prop, but when it comes to -455 favorites, I’ll always take them by the way I see that they are most likely to win.

Zachary Reese vs Sedriques Dumas

  • Pick: Fight Over 1.5 Rounds (+130)
  • Why: Both of these men are known for short fights, but I think this is one that plays out a little bit.  Reese is going to start quickly, but I think Dumas is going to be able to survive the early onslaught and get this fight later into the second round.
