Hooker vs. Parnasse Best Bets: UFC Fight Night Predictions, Picks & Odds
UFC Fight Night: Hooker vs. Parnasse takes place this Saturday, September 5, 2026, live from Accor Arena in Paris, France. The event marks the UFC's return to Paris and features a high-stakes lightweight main event between veteran contender Dan Hooker and French star Salahdine Parnasse. The entire event will stream live on Paramount+ in the United States.
Headlining the event is a lightweight showdown between Dan Hooker and Salahdine Parnasse. Hooker enters the fight with years of experience against elite competition, a dangerous striking game, and one of the toughest resumes in the lightweight division. Parnasse, meanwhile, makes his long-awaited UFC debut after establishing himself as one of Europe's top fighters and a two-division champion outside the UFC.
This matchup presents an intriguing clash of experience and styles. Hooker will look to use his length, striking, veteran savvy, and experience in five-round fights to make Parnasse work from the opening bell. Parnasse enters with tremendous confidence and the ability to mix his striking with grappling while fighting in front of a passionate French crowd.
With a veteran looking to protect his place in the UFC lightweight rankings against one of Europe's biggest MMA stars, there are plenty of questions surrounding the main event. Can Parnasse immediately make the jump to the UFC level, or will Hooker's experience prove to be the difference?
Below are my top UFC Fight Night predictions for Saturday's event.
UFC Fight Night: Hooker vs. Parnasse Predictions & Picks
Dan Hooker vs. Salahdine Parnasse
Pick: Parnasse by KO
Parnasse has the clear speed advantage and is much younger than the aging Hooker. Parnasse has been a dominant force outside of the UFC, and the UFC is doing him a favor by giving him a pretty one-dimensional striker. Hooker will be the bigger man in the cage, so it might take Parnasse a little while to figure out his range, but eventually he will land something to end this fight.
- Prediction: Parnasse by KO -145
Michael Page vs. Nursulton Ruziboev
Pick: Michael Page
Michael “Venom” Page is a dominant fighter, but he dominates fights while only landing 30-40 significant strikes. He is precise and has great defense, but it normally leads to a boring fight. His opponent, Nursulton Ruziboev, on the other hand, is going to try to make this a brawl. I normally only bet Page fights to end by decision, but he is due to get a KO, and with Nursulton pressuring, he should be open for a counter shot.
- Prediction: Michael Page by KO +330
Mario Pinto vs Ryan Spann
Pick: Mario Pinto
Pinto is not a one-punch power type of heavyweight; he normally grinds on his opponents and takes over once they start to tire. Spann is a monster for the first few minutes, but by the time the first round ends, he’ll be looking for a way out. Pinto just needs to weather the early storm, and he should be able to find the finish. I lean towards the KO, but once Spann gets tired, he may just tap to any submission threat that comes his way. Due to the uncertainty on how it will finish, and how risky Spann can be in the beginning of the fight, I’m taking a long shot at Pinto winning in the second round.
- Prediction: Mario Pinto Round 2 +350
